Somehow I find Shahid Kapoor to be highly over rated. After all what has he done so far? Ishq Vishk was a decent first movie and Fida was good performance. But he has not made any spectacular deview like Aamir, Salman or Hrithik to be put on the same pedestal.

Lyla, This review of yours should not be rated... Its beyond the capacities of rating. I did not know that we could/ could not redeem the points. If it can be done, I request MS to please do so from my account also. I may have earned a few thousand points being only 3 months old here. Please t...ake away all the points. I have donated 1 day's salary through my company for the same also.Read More

Great selection across the genres. I was a bit supised seein Madan Mohan's name, then again, he was much greater than what he is acclaimed to be. Sajjad was a class apart. A few more names that I can think of are Shyam Sunder, Sonik-Omi (of Mahua fame), Khemchand Prakash and even Ravindra Jai...n.Read More

What do you mean by saying that a guy who played only a supporting role in another show can not take a lead role? What about many film actors who were picked from some advertisements alone?

I think you have problems in making the statements bold and italics. You need to use them as follows. make it Bold: Statement Pl remove the star marks. I have used that just to ensure that the text appears as it is without automatically making it bold. Same goes for italics.

Its sad that in spite of the serials being so boring and cheap standards, people still watch them and serials still have high atings. But what option do they have? Its like the political system. You may find all the candidates equally bad, but you still need to elect someone!!

To a large extent I agree with King’s stand here. However, I would like to bring in a little more information which may help in making the views more neutralized than so much favouring Lata. I did not know about Lata being instrumental in separating the awads. If that’s the case, the...n its geat indeed. On the famous Royalty Issue: That time there were differential amounts being paid as royalty to singers and MDs. Lata’s view was it should be same. Rafi was favouring MDs saying that they are the ones who put maximum effort for a song and they deserve to get more. Hence there was a rift, which lasted for 5-6 years. This is the period, when the MDs faced the critical question: who to drop out for duets? Rafi or Lata? Most of them dropped Lata and went for Rafi, till the technology for separate singing and then mixing was discovered. Now why did this happen? Probably only Rafi Saab could have explained this. To a certain extent I do agree with Dr Shafique that Rafi was singing from his heart and for the sake of Art. But I won’t be as harsh saying that she was singing only for money. It will be fair to say that, along with art, Lata was also conscious about the commercial aspects too. We can not blame a single party for this. Lets face the fact that it was a tussle between two numero unos, who could have tried to out do each other. Again it was a matter of chosing between your heat and your mind. Dil Vs. Dimag. Read More

Hey, I was missing out something really interesting!! Thanks fellow MSoan who brought me to the discussion. My responses will follow. But before that let me confess that I am a worshippe of both Rafi and Lata and I detest KK from the core of my heart as a singer. However, facts are facts and I wo...uld like to respond with an unbiased view as far as possible. (Opinion follows in next comment)Read More

This is not my kind movie... its neither full art movie with strong performance (like Paar, Mirch Massala etc.) nor is it commercial. Its not even a strong technically sound and gripping movie like Maasoom or Saath Saath. Something is missing from the movie. With this movie, Hema Malini has acted... in the lead role with all leading Kapoors: Raj, Shammi, Sashi, Randhir and Rishi.Read More

Ek Ruka Hua Faisla was a word to word, scene to scene copy of the English movie '12 Angymen', which was already copied once in English. How else can you explain the presence of a jury in India? Do you think that takes away the credit of the movie? Definitely NO!! Its one of the most spelbindin...g movies I have seen in my life and even after seeing it 10+ times, I find it difficult to move during this movie. Its not the story that matters here. Anyone can guess what will be the outcome after first half an hour. However, it is the perfect setting, characterisation and direction that makes the movie one of the best. All credits go to Basu Chatterjee, who ventured out to do such a movie with almost unknown actors and came out with a beauty. Thats what makes him different.Read More

Sorry... just saw the cons.... You are calling Sachin a selfish player? The man who came back from his father's funeral so that India could win a match? The man, who continued playing with a back pain so that India could salvage a match in 1999? The man who has never questioned an umpiring de...cision no matter how dubious is it?Read More

I agree with all the comments posted against your review.... was it some kind of attempt to get attention? Sachin is a different class altogether.... can not be compared with contemporary crickteers. Just two points as you wanted to elevate Lara so much... 1. Sachin does not play bad merely be...cause he is not made the captain (compare Sachin playing for Azhar/ Ganguly's captaincy and Lara playing for Hooper) 2. Sachin does not sacrifise matches because he has a personal milestone to achieve (Compare Lara sacrifising a match as he was nearing 400 and Sachin not even uttering a word when the captain declared the innings when he was 194*) CheersRead More

From the comments that I see on my reviews, I guess I should have seen these 2 movies before writing my review. Have not a single new movie after Lakshya as I was in the process of job change and city change.
