Saw Thommanum Makallum yesterday. I share the same opinion as you. Unfortunately Malayalam cinema has its share of second rate directors and their products find mass appeal. The fact that Tanmatra has sunk at the box office and TM and Rajamanikyam has gone to be mega block busters speak a lot of... the audience' tastes now. Connoisseurs of good cinema have shrunk, and save a few – favor superstar machoisms and slapstick comedy. Though story is non existent, it should be admitted that some dialogues (especially Lal) were amusing. The film can be considered as a movie, which can be watched once. Read More

I am also a fan of the maestro. Have you heard Paarta Vizhi from Guna? It is just over 2 minutes, but its so good.. more of a hymn than a song. Being a mallu, I have had got an opportunity to listen to more of him. But his tamil songs (especially composed by the great Illayaraja) are also amazing....Read More
