Are You Strong Enough To Handle Critics?
Mar 26, 2008 05:09 PM
(Updated Mar 26, 2008 05:10 PM)
Hi Aakshat I still remember a ’’train the trainer’’ workshop I attended some time ago before I became an english lang trainer. I was doing a presentation in front of a class of trainers. At the end, the coach told me, ’’How many times should I tell you to move around the class while training the peo...ple? And where’s your energy? You sound so lifeless! The trainees are gonna fall asleep if you continue like this. Why don’t you practise harder? I’m really getting anry.’’ I was devastated hearing her criticisms especially when she said it infront of the whole class. i was so shocked that I never attended the workshop again. Now I feel I should have fought it out. Because whoever completed the workshop got placed well as corporate trainers in & around bangalore. Sigh, live and learn.... regards Manoj regardsRead More

Everyone Has A Dream
Mar 26, 2008 10:14 AM
Thanks a bunch Aakshat, Lovesreading and Dev Aaskhat – “bang on target” observation by yourself again. I definitely need a third party to wake me up frm my idle thoughts and grab me by my collar so that I can plough again to achieve my dreams. Virginia was marvellous. She’s also an inspiration for t...hose who has the money but is clueless on how to truly help the needy.
Dev – that’s true. As someone said, those who don’t take risks or initiative to do what they want get swallowed up by life.

~ Rick Little's Quest - II ~
Mar 24, 2008 05:14 PM
hi Aakshat beautiful analysis by ya...
I too wonder. Where would Rick Little be if Dr Mawby said No? Would he have been one helluva shattered man and jumped off a cliff? Nah...he's too gutsy for that. I think he would have probably given up that dream and gone back to college or get a job to feed... himself.Or probably, he would have just ignored his family & friends' pleadings and tried again? Who knows? Let me stand up and bow at this great guy....
