Very customer unfriendly indeed. Great piece Santhosh! Hyundai must be having good sales these days. That doesn't mean that they can ignore customer satisfaction, that too on their bread-and-butter product--Santro. Let this be an eye-opener for anyone who wants to buy at Advaith!

Sushma, I dont want this to be a tit-for-tat, but I see that you don’t even have the basic observational capabilities. If you cant address the person whose review you comment about, that should give everyone a good indication of how well your comments should be taken. This comment looks like comi...ng directly from the stores which cannot digest the fact that their poor customer service is under fire. By your ridiculous comments and unreasonable statements you have clearly shown that you are big sycophant of Angadi Silks. I suggest you find a better job than defending the undefendable. And how can you, an unrelated bypasser comment about how I should deal with my relatives? This review has been written in consultaion with the relative who gifted. And you are outrageous and hilarious and funny when you say that I can keep the saree of some other shop in Angadi packing to get an exchange? There is no barometer to measure your foolishness and joblessness. If Angadi had been gracious they would’ve apologised rather than make stupid comments through you.Read More

I had a terrible experience at Angadi Silks recently. Believe me, the store is an attractive place, but without a soul. The store is well placed and very spacious, but the people who run the store don't share the same kind of open-mindedness. A simple saree exchange turned out to be a full-fledg...Read more

Lolita was a married woman, but still lived the life of a spinster till the great climax brings Shekhar and Lolita together. This is the fundamental suspense in this movie. I guess I've revealed this through my review indirectly. When you watch the first scene you feel Lolita is a characterless woma...n trying to flirt with a guy despite being a married woman. But the gripping movie provides all the answers towards the end.Read More

Hi Drifter, You have drifted too far-too soon in damning Calicut to be taken seriously. Projecting your own perception of things as the ultimate truth is nothing but an exhibition of your ignorance and impudence. Let me clarify, I am neither a Keralite nor do I have a special affinity to the ...God's own country (I have no reason to dispute this punchline). But, what makes this review a highly unwarranted piece is its utter lack of sensitivity and your inability to recognize the fact that the best way to know something is to be one with it. You neither have the patience nor the depth of knowledge to make such caustic remarks about a place that is known as the Gateway to India's riches. If this is a strategy get more hits on your review, it has definitely worked. But, travel aspirants can definitely do without these harangues. - VinayRead More

Cont'd... My experience shows that they are as good or as bad as any other car in the market. And mind you, I am not some reviewer trying to win a maximum review contest writing this. I am a WagonR user for the past 3 years. Driving a car on a test drive only to justify a gut feeling doesn't reve...al the actual performance. It is a misconception that the center of gravity of Wagon R is low and the car would topple at high speeds. I've driven the car for~ 30, 000 kms at all speeds and not once have I got a feeling of instability or toppling over. Moreover, you don't try changing lanes quickly or make tight turns on city roads, unless of course you are a rally aspirant. Feeling that the ergonomics of the car disappoint is again a perceptional thing. It is necessary in a car to have seating into which you can slide into as you would do into normal chair. That is exactly what you get in WagonR. In thet poistion, the headroom, the legroom, the arm space for gear changing and footpedal comfort are adequately provided for any normal human being. It is an absolute delight to take the WagonR on a long drive. I did Chennai and the mountainous Tirumala from Bangalore over a period of 4 days without an ache in the body. That's practical experience for you, not just test drive feeling. And commenting on switches and plastics is only trying to extend your bias into areas beyond performance. Your concern for the large number of Wagon R owners is a little surprising. One hand you say the Wagon R is the largest selling car and on the other hand you say they are being cheated. Well, do remember that you can't cheat all the people into buying an 'ugly' lookig car all the time. As far as Santro is concerned, it's a good car albeit based on a stolen concept.Read More

Dear Harry Kid, I hope this review of yours is at least original. By the way, did you know that the Santro, which you are in awe of, is based on 'the tall boy' concept stolen from under the nose of Suzuki. Well, let's keep that part aside. If it is really you who has written this review, here'...s some enlightenment for you. And yes, its time to stand up for our rights, after all we are spending our precious time to read and comment on these reviews. At the outset, I get the impression that you went into the market with a preconceived notion, having already mentally decided on Santro. You were more inclined to pinpoint the 'so-called' negatives in Wagon R, so that your mental decision to go for a Santro would be justified. Well let's take your comments one-by-one. Yes, Wagon R looks ugly. How many of us liked the shape of Santro or Matiz when it was launched in India first. Over a period of time, we've come to accept the shapes of these cars. The same if going to happen with Wagon R. I'm not justifying the looks of WagonR, but for a multiactivity car like Wagon R, shape is of least importance. What more facilities can you pack in a car with the space constraints determined by the cost and maneuverability within the city is morr important. I would have accepted your point of view about aerodynamics if you were an engineer in fluid dynamics. Unfortunately you are not one. Please refer to any book on aerodynamics and you'll realise that the shape of the WagonR with its multiple utilities, is best suited for city conditions. And to link this to mileage is simply ridiculous. If I am able to get 15 kmpl with AC on in city conditions, does it make it poor in mileage. The gear shift being poor and the A.C being noisy are perceptional things.Read More

Hey Amit, You seem to be a Matiz fanatic. How else can one explain your penchant for comparing Wagon R with Matiz. I am not too sure what your priorities are, but your assessment falls flat on all counts. Well, the only thing your are dead right is in comparing Wagon R with Santro. The Santro fai...ls in every aspect of car comfort in comparison with Wagon R. Now to negate some of the wrong impressions you've given in your review about the BEST SMALL CAR in India. Have some decent barometer Amit, to compare Wagon R with. I've test driven a OMNI and it cannot be called a car in any sense of the word. Calling Wagon R an upgrade of OMINI is sweeping and grossly inappropriate. Many people no doubt get the feeling of seeing an Omni from the back of Wagon R, but the comparison ends at that. OMNI looks tall but doesn't have headroom, legroom and the room to flex your arms. This is because of the position of the engine. It is right under the driver's seat. Omni is a fantastic utilitarian design and is a great vehicle for its intended purpose. But it is not even a remote comparison for Wagon R. In comparison Wagon R has the best headroom, best legroom and the best bodyroom in the driver cabin in the entire small car segment (why small car any car segment for that matter) in India. No other car gives as much comfort to the driver as a Wagon R. And with respect to the driver position, you can't get a better design than this. You can get into the car and get out easily and you can sit in the driver's seat as though you are sitting in your comfort chair at home. And in the sitting position, the gear lever, the steering wheel and all the controls are accessible to you as though they were designed for you. I agree that the back seat legroom is not adequate. But that's a small compromise you can make to reap all the fantastic benefits of driving a Wagon R. - Vinay Read More
