You must have heard about the MTR hotel near Lalbagh. The same group has come up with a new restaurant in Jayanagar 4th block called Mayya's. Apparently, they had started this restaurant in BTM Layout & have moved to JNR 4th block, due to lack of space. But, trust me even this 4 storeyed building in 4th block is not enough to control the crowd, especially during weekends.
Let me start by telling the pros of this hotel.
Very tasty food.
Very hygenic. The dishes are washed in hot water and you can feel the hotness when they get the plate.
You can see the people cook while you eat.
They serve buffet breakfast for Rs. 100/- during all mornings
Special coffee counter on the ground floor for coffee enthusiasts
Not very expensive, but a little higher than the usual Sagars & SLVs
Best items to eat are: Rava Idli, Masala Dosa, Jaamoon, Fruit Salad
They serve hot coffee in Silver Glass (not exactly sure if it's completely silver).
Cons:
Waiting time
Lack of space for people who wait to get their turn. No. of people inside the restaurant is almost equal to the no. of people waiting outside for their turn.
The best part of this hotel also is their Lunch & Dinner. They serve unlimited food for Rs.100/- on weekends and the people who serve food are generous in serving the items. Some even insist that we taste all the items even though we don't eat them. This is a rarity!!!
