I haven't written a review in a long time, but when I saw no reviews posted on Shoprite, I couldn't resist myself. When we face poor service or come across a bad product, we feel the urge to post our rants. However, good service doesn't always give us that burning urge to go write a review. T...Read more

Although I do not agree with most of your review, I have still given a Useful rating because you have presented your perspective nicely. Now allow me to present mine. Things are changing in India. Flying is getting increasingly affordable. And I must congratulate Air Deccan for this. It's happene...d in mobile telephony, now it's happening in the skies. Both Rajdhani Express and Firozpur Janata Express leave from Bombay Central. However, you cannot compare the service levels of the two. There are no free lunches, and the airlines are no exception. On some sectors, Air Deccan uses ATR aircraft. Being turboprops, these make a lot a noise but they are also perceived to be among the safest. However, I do agree that all airlines should adhere to some basic levels of service - safety, courteousness, punctuality, to name a few. I also agree that the way Air Deccan sells food on board is quite offputing. I have seen a lot of passenger eyebrows go up when they were told that they need to shell out money for food. Maybe they can keep a preprinted snack order form in every seat jacket. That would be a nice and subtle way of telling passengers that food has to be paid for. It would also save the airhostess the trouble of repeating to every passenger what food items are available. I recently flew Air Deccan to Goa and back. Call it Good Luck if you will, I had absolutely no problems. The flights were on time, the cabin though cramped was reasonably clean and the airhostesses were reasonably courteous. In fact, on the Bombay-Goa flight, a lady passenger travelling with a kid suddenly fell ill and blacked out. The way the air-hostess handled the situation was really commendable. It's always good to have choices. Air Deccan offers an inexpensive choice for flying. Don't look for any other frills. I agree though that cotton for the ears is not exactly a frill, especially when the cabin pressure drops and you have a giant fan screaming away outside your window.Read More

that fire-alarm incident must've been scary. it's ridiculous how ill-prepared these people are for an emergency. nice, informative review but what prompted you to still give Big Bazzar two stars? ...subir

when i took a homeloan from ICICI bank, I agreed to handover the original documents only after confirming that they'd give a written acknowledgement. as far as i know, there cannot be any 'policy' which denies the customer the right to a written acknowledgement of the receipt of something as importa...nt as property documents. do write to the higher-ups in ICICI. these kind of practices are highly deplorable and nobody should take them lying down. ...subirRead More

agreed, we live in a corruption-tolerant country, but even then one shouldn't take this kind of treatment lying down. the more we accept, the more corrupt our environemnt will become. probably you should lodge a complaint with the ministry of external affairs. ...subir
