About my Yelagiri Experience

Yes I stayed here only. Stay and food is good but my view is the rate is too high if you compare to other hill stations like Kodai & Ooty. In such a small village, the rates should be lesser.

if you ask me, honestly i will tell you, the room tariff should be below Rs.1000/- for entire family accommodation in Yelagiri where there is no basic facilities nor any place to see. Rs.400 per head per day is too much (min 30% margin) where the manpower and other costs are cheap. I dont recomand Y...elagiri if the cost of stay goes beyond 1000 bucks and 250 per head per day. This review has been written by the resort people only. If you ask the rate, the rate is too high to the standard of its. All hotels and resorts in yelagiri tariff is set too high compared to the rates of well sophesticated resorts in other hill stations like Ooty, Kodai and Yercaud.

Rs.3500/- is too big amount to Yelagiri. After all it's a small village and if the hotel is like 2 star we can pay max rs.1200/-. This yelagiri does not have any basic facilities. Hi Madh I hope you would accept my view that apparently the same Yelagiri was much cheaper (like stay - Rs.500/-) just 3 yrs back and by lots of (pampered) online reviews which resulted a quick and unreasonable price jump in stay and food than the way it should be. Mostly this town receives all Ba...ngalore IT people and a lumpsum ppl from chennai who thinks the price is being offered is cheap. The room rent which is currently being offered Rs.1500/- is not at all worth paying and are three fold than the actual in that place. I dont understand why people are not bargaining and the awareness should come to get a real value for the money.Read More
