This is my first review on MS. I purchased Tata Indigo LX in May 08. After going through all the reviews on various web sites and Auto manuals, I had sorted out three vehicles. Logan, Dzire and Indigo.

Logan - I believe its diesel version is good and it was exceeding my budget, hence cancelled.

Dzire - long waiting.

Indigo - It was fulfilling all my requirements. I want a sedan it price range 5 to 6 lakhs, preferrably diesel one. I got it. Indigo LX is a diesel sedan in the same price range of Logan or Dzire petrol.

Total KMs done so far - 2200 Kms

Almost 70% done in city.

Space - Very comfortable for 5 person to sit even for a long journey. Doesn't feels cramped at all. I found it really spacious. (might be because I was using Alto earlier).

Comfort - Marvellous comforts for back sit. Even after a continous travel of 500 Kms, we don't feel tired or fatigued. For driver, I guess pedal positions are bit awkward. I had pains in my anchles after a drive of 500 kms.

Performance - I would say it is a real highway cruiser. Very comfortable on highways. Never feel lack of power even with AC fully ON. (In Alto, I had to switch Off AC while overtaking). I was able to touch 140 Kmph with a ease. In city, it is sluggish. I feel difficult to drive in a Stop go traffic. Pick up is low on 2nd gear. Frequect gear changes required in city which is irritating. It was very hard to me initially, but now I am became expert in city driving so no issues now.

One thing I must state here, reversing this car was very easy. I was expecting it difficult because of its boot, but to my surprize, it went very good. I had tried on Dzire and Logan which was very difficult.

Fuel efficiency : 14 Kms in city and 18 Kms on Highways with 100% AC.

AC quality - O.K.

Boot space - 450 ltrs - more than sufficient for me.

Looks - Cool

Reliability - 5 months is not a period to comment on reliability, but no issues till now.

Engine noise - Very less in cabin when all glasses are closed. I guess some noise is expected since it is a diesel engine. I personally don't have any issues. I am not that sensitive to noise. Chalta hai.

I guess I had covered all aspects of a review. Will update my review after a year.

One thing I would like to mention, On MS, I had read very bad reviews about Indigo, but as per my experience, I am satisfied customer till date.
