Just for the information of all those die-hard 3-idiots fans, Aamir himself admitted in a recent interview that it is a 'dumbed-down' version. So sorry folks, I'm not dumb. You can make a 'Rang de Basanti' and still be successful.

fanfabia had put it just right. It is all about what one wants in a car. Most buyers in India are either first-timers or graduating fm a basic car like Maruti and they have no idea what ride-quality is all about nor build quality. The european standard of built, fit and finish is unmatched, people a...re just not ready to pay for that yet. I've driven the TDI for 16000Km now and travelled on all kinds of roads from Tamilnadu to Gujurat, there isnt a single rattle from anywhere and it gives me great economy ( 20 plus on hi-spped diesel) . As far service is concerned , just spent 3000 on first servicing. Had a couple of bangs from behind on the bumper, in city driving, but it just doesnt show ! If it were maruti I would've had a huge dent . Fanfabia, can u tell me how much the engine cover costed ?Read More

People seem to be gloating about the fact that it has relative merits compared to some real bad works, but we're not trying to find out the better from the worse, we're not even comparing, just reviewing the movie as it is. OK lets be honest, we had high expectations from a super actor like Aamir an...d a clean creative director like Hirani. Huge disappointment ! When he made Munnabhai remember how they went to town that they seriously meant to bring back Gandhi-consciousness. How they have been so simplistic about the ills of the education system ?! Would everyone inherit the genius of Rancho? Can everyone get an invite to Venezuela or exotic places for photography ? While discussing a general malaise, the movie conveniently focuses on exceptions !!Read More

A movie made by idiots for idiots about idiots? This was the question that occurred to me half-way through the film. The film seemingly asks all the right questions about career choices and the brutally crushing competitive education system. The solutions offered in the film though ranged from t...Read more

Looks like you are hooked by the leg room in the rear. I thought most of the driving is done from the front seat ?! What about ride quality and steering control, roll etc?

Skoda started off as a 100% imported car, tyres included, therefore as expected there was lot of heart burn over the cost of spares and time delay in procurement. This became more apparent when they started selling the Fabia, which was the most affordable car in their stable and started doing number...s unlike the Octavia or Luara. With the Company starting production in India things will definitely change for the better.Read More

Guys! Hold on ! Everybody is misleading everyone on the pricing of The Fabia diesel !! Firstly, the 8 lac price tag is for the top-end model with alloy wheels, auto climate control, sun roof, ABS , Dual AC ducts (nobody strangely mentions that, though it is the only car in the segment offering t...his feature) etc. I bought a Fabia Classic from Chandigarh at just Rs 6lacs.. There are some who want quality and quality always comes with a price ! Mr.Venugopal is trying to unnecessarily trying to bring in nationalism into the debate. We're crazy about swiss chocolates because they are the best in the business, we are crazy about German technology because they've been there before anyone else. TATA is a basically a truck maker and if somebody's priority is only space and fuel economy then yes Indica is your buy.But PLEASE do not assume that ur more aware than others , people make informed choices based on what they want.Read More

The Fabis comes with an airfilter that filters out air when ac is operated in outdoor mode. Due to ambient dusty conditions in India this filter gets choked very quickly and same needs to be cleaned. Let not one issue cloud your judgment, I'm sure you have done your homework before you bought this... car. My friends dzire had an electrical problem within one month of purchase, the entire electrical system incl ac was getting tripped off. The Dealer had to change the ECU after a 15 day waiting period.Nobody stopped buying the Dzire.Read More

There are a lot blokes out here commenting on service without any first hand experience ! There are reviewers who are writing about bad service and costly spares without even a test drive !! I got the first service done at 9500 Km and it cost me Rs4000. Compare it with Maruti or TATA , u will get ...it serviced every quarter at Rs1000 each and it amounts to the same ! As far as spares are concerned, all CRDI engines are imported spares are equally expensive. Fabia has started production in India with 50% local content and that bring down ownership costs.Read More

arun is absolutely right ! Mr joesifrank is all confused. He ends up saying he would buy a Travera, Safari, Dzire,fiesta...basically doesnt know what he wants but has the temerity to recommend what others should buy based on just sitting in the car?!! If he wants to buy the swift dzire , then pleas...e check the facts--the fabia has more leg room than the dzire and if he finds its rear cramped then he may as well sit with his legs folded up in the Dzire ! Remember the Fabia has been designed for the European built not fo the japanese-asian buit types.Read More

Gmat is obviously colored by his experience nipunsyal is mischievously manipulating facts. If gmat did not find a single 'pro' in the car pray why did he buy it in the first place ?!!!! Doesnt it sound fishy ? As Far as Fabia petrol is concerned, yes there have been issues mainly due to the poor fue...l quality in India, one should perhaps stick to company outlets and high octane petrol. And our friend nipun wants to compare the Petrol engine with the swift 'award winning' diesel type ? I personally drove the vehicle at 150-160 ks as far as underpowered is concerned and it does not have the famous 'turbo lag' that the crdi engine of the swift , though it is noisier than the swift.Read More
