Agree with most of the comments of the reviews except for the merits of Bamboo restaurant. It is a small open air place with only thali meals and the entire place smells of fish. There is no a-la-carte option and needless to say, any vegetarians in your group will have to do involuntary fasting ... Better option for food is Saiba. They have all the Malvani cuisine options, but also have regular vegetarian options in a much nicer setting and a very nice location. Definitely have a meal there - since its hardly a couple of km from the Sindhudurg jettyyRead More

Very nicely written review. Covered all points comprehensively without getting too emotional - gives the reader a view of all aspects of Tarkarli Since I just returned from Tarkarli myself, I have to add that if you arent staying in MTDC at Tarkarli, you are missing out half the fun of the place.... The resort is closest to the waterline than any other - think 10 meters. Spread out nicely so each cottage has its own surrounding areas - and most importantly, each cottage gets a hammock of its own - for you to relax on (or fight with your room partner about who uses it) Food is good and there is a generator backup - which is useful given the number of times power goes. I found the snorkeling the most fun activity - as you can see corals and pretty fishes which otherwise you can only see on TV or abroad. I was lucky to see numerous dolphins as well - so the Dolphin point does indeed have many dolphins.Read More

If you ask me, this movie is worth watching just to see Clint Eastwood growl - at everything !! No seriously, he actually growls whenever he is angry ! And he is always angry in Gran Torino .... Clint Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a tough-as-nails Korean War veteran and a retired Ford worker....Read more

I have a peeve with the makers of Little Zizou - why are the trailers so bad? For such a wonderful movie couldn't they made the trailers a little more interesting? Even I could have made them better trailers than the ones airing now . As the trailers tell you - Little Zizou is a movie about t...Read more

Even though it won the Oscar for the best actress and was nominated forbest motion picture, I'd recommend you do not watch The Reader in a theater. Not that its particularly bad, no. Just that the censors have cut out scenes so horribly in the first 45 min that its a maddening exercise watching ...Read more

If you haven’t heard about this movie, don’t be surprised – it hadalmost zero publicity. Sometimes small movies are the hidden surprises - like Dasvidaniya, which was superb. This one almost gets there, but trips at the last 100 m. Thename of the movie is a giveaway as far as the story is con...Read more

I was on a lookout for a slim profile camera as a gift for my sister-in-law - mainly because girls do not seem to appreciate that bigger lens cameras, while ugly looking, have better optics and hence better photos. For them, looks come first. Anyway to each his own. My primary consideration w...Read more

This is my first Nokia - I am a Sony Ericsson fan - but after some kleptomaniac took off with my W950i in a 2AC compartment(no less), I had to compromise and get a N81. The factors in its favor were its decidedly stylish looks, great audio capabilities(it has a dedicated DAC), connectivity optio...Read more

Daman is referred to as Goa's poor cousin - because they are both on the coast and share similar Portuguese history. But what is not mentioned is that beaches in Daman are nothing compared to the clean Goa beaches How to reach - Daman is just three hours away from Bombay in a fast express tra...Read more
