Centra is a good bile in this segment. Its discontinued by TVS but fuel economy, confort, bike height, factors of TVS Centra are really very good. In four years I have changed only clutch plates and still my vehicle is giving worth 70/km/liter avarage. Till this time bike has completed more than 85...000 kms. Comparing Centra with similar bikes in this segment, one has to accept that centra is superiour than others. As regards this review, its just an experience but equally important how you maintain the bike. Which service center you used for servicing, riding style, traffic conditions, and petrol pump you generally used to fill petrol..Read More

shrikant, insufficient info given (or say not given) in yr review. its difficult to believe yr comments. problem due to service center is another issue have you contacted TVS directly ? such severe damages to your bike may be bad road conditions, or your style of riding. so just don't ...take an ak56 and start firing on TVS. I have experienced very nice TVS services for my fiero, victor and centra. i have got free replacements even after bike was out of warrantee......... this was by TVS and might be a result of contacting manufacturer directly who cares his customers. This is shocking really. No question of engine overhauling should arrise before 75000 kms for any bike. Even in case we failed to do routine servicing, then too it should not happen. Dealer / authorised service station might have done something with your bike i think. Or persons asigned for job ...are not qualified. I sincerely think you should search for a good machanic. Dear cp47 Gone through your review. Parts you indicated & which are broken, fused, damaged are non tvs propritory parts. Clutch Cable damages are related with your style of riding same is applicable for indicator bulbs etc. 60 KMPL is not bad avarage. You have not mentioned your weight, avarage ...speed of your riding and method of your clutch+gear operation. Review your styles & you may found your style is not up to the mark. Improvements in style may result in more satisfaction my friend. Sanjay.Read More

Dear Writer, Good written review, but I sincerely think 'Milage' per liter is the key factor in economy segmented bike. 'Armstrong' & 'Gabrial' are the both OE (Original Equipments) suppliers for TVS Motors Co. Ltd. My bike has gabrial shocks and they are fully comfortable. Then whats wrong ...with your piece ? Its realy nice to hear that Centra had given 102 kmpl. You have got key to judge your bike. Riding @40 kmph is itself an ideal conditon. This means TVS never given any fake statement regarding this bike.

Yes !!!!!!!! kedarqc, thought you should have write more about this product. TVS Star is winner in its segment. Due to its high, low end torque, rider can drive this bike @15 t o 18 kms/h on top gear. Its great achievement by TVS, only Bullet-350 offers you this low end torqe to drive at very low... speed in conjested city traffic conditions. BTW keep writing reviews on ms.Read More

Its very low indeed. Have you tested your bike at any reliable source ? if not please do it immediately my friend. Report for discover dtsi sounds quite good and reaches upto 55 kmpl normally. Please check carb, tipet setting and clutch setting / condition this may help you.

Dear Bidhu, Firstly you are talking about a bike you driven for some while. CD-DON just cannot be compared with Centra, as there are huge techical differences between these two bikes. Handling and Ride Quality of centra is doubtlessly better than, Crux, CD Don, or Boxer etc... etc... the statemen...t that your friend can drive centra after one year is non technical i would like to know about the techical reason behind this statement. Overall review is written well but not too useful.Read More

Its unfortunate really. I am in Jalgaon Maharashtra its too hot. I am using centra since 1 year and covered over 27000 kms. I never faced any problem described by you. Centra is comfortable in real. Particularly CD-100 cannot be compared with centra at least of confort. I used this bike for 2 yea...r and then sold it away due to severe back pain. Read More

Its shere unfortunate that you got a problamatic bike as well as dealer. I am using this bike since Feb-2005 and crossed over 8000 kms. My weight is 88 kgs and always carrying somebody weighing not less than 65 kgs. Then too the suspenssion is excellent. You seems to be very crezy about high top ...speed but skidding problem at high speed applicable to all available bikes. Thank god you have not purchased any Escorts Yamaha motorcyle otherwise inspite of writing 100 s of emails no response could have been seen. Anyway keep writing reviews moreover it should be studied and balanced. SanjayRead More

Dear Bshekharmca81, I have gone throu your review. As a user of Centra, you correctly noticed that Centra has quite less pick up. This is because of Centra's 7.4 Bhp 99.8 cc engine at 7500rpm. This is done to reduce the fuel consumption & hence I was showked that you are not getting gud avarag...e. Myself is driving Centra at 50kmph constantly and maximum at 60kmph when road conditions are fine. I am getting avarage between 68 to 72 without fail. I sincerely think you should consult with expert 4 stroke machanic for tunning you engine and carb. Please try 'MOLY' OR 'NULON' OR 'BARDHAL' engine conditioners along with fresh engine oil ( ELF, CASTROL SUPER 4-T) Try to run vehicle between 45kmph to 50kmph regularly and then revert to me. I am sure you will see that your problem is solved. Keep writing revies and conmments. Sanjay_Jal MS-TEAM.Read More

Nice review written well done... TVS has really done lot of R & D for making Centra and STAR. Centra is costly and is in executive segment but TVS Star sounds very good even thouth its lot of cheaper than CT-100, Centra or Splendor. Star has enough Torque which enables you to ride at just 16-18 kmp...h at top gear. Keep writing..... SanjayRead More

Your review is showing full satisfaction while driving Centra & why not ? really its a good bike in 100 cc segment. I am quite dis-agree with you about its avarage. Using all precautions I could get the maximum avarage of 79 kms per Lit., and I never driven the vehicle beyond 45km/h. If you h...ave some special tips please let me know. Sanjay_JalRead More
