My family is a member of the Clik-Flix fiasco for nearly a year now….and we are forced to continue since - once the subscription is paid you don’t get the refund.
Firstly, we never get a proper movie during the week ends, even if we book it ten days before….it seems the movies are free only d...Read more

Hi Bhasker and Dushie,
The common diesel available in India is called HSD (High Speed Diesel) in petroleum Industry (India) terms. This is because the Excise Tariff Act 1944 classifies the common diesel produced in Indian refineries by that name, HSD has nothing to do with extraordinary perform...ance.
However, since 2001 / 2002 the Indian Petroleum companies started adding performance accelerators in Petrol and subsequently Diesel with due government permission and after rigorous tests. These performance enhancers actually lubricate the engine and adds to engine performance, some of them even help in generating extra power and mileage. These additives in no way harm the engine or can rarely be identified as causing extra smoke.
Extra smoke is largely produced for two main reasons that is incomplete combusion - driving in inappropriate gear is the most common cause of this and the second reason is adultrated diesel, as reported in one of the international petroleum magazines - 'Diesel is the most adultrated substance in India'. So instead of changing to normal diesel ( which actually is HSD) I would suggest you get the car checked and change the petrol pump from where you fill....this may help
On your review, I agree that Logan is a truly amazing car....how M&M is selling it so cheap is a real surprise. I am a throughly satisfied customer of a DLX version.

Hi Devv,
Thanks for the question, I am used to driving Maruty and Hyundai....compared to that I found the Logan gear / clutch combo a bit stiff. The clutch needs a full pedal and the gears need to be slotted properly. ...but I am getting used to it or may be the machine is easing out.

ya...the comments of black....on Logan is written without ever driving a loganbut only by seeing the smoke coming out of the logan that overtook his rolls : ))
one needs to expose these pseudo critics, the effort is towards that

Accent is no match for a Honda city....if you think your gas driven Accent ( an apology of a car) is somethinh great....I need not prove you wrong....proving wrong is done to things that at least have an iota of doubt.
You understanding of cars rightly compliments of being proud of a Korean car......congrats.Read More

Blakspawner is owner of a second hand Ascent that runs on LPG. He has never driven a Logan...but somehow wants to popularize his expertise....such bungles are going to happen
Blackspa....don't bother about this comment, carry on your reviews ....for all they are worth
By the way I was wonderin...g why a supersonic korean car with a formula one driver was trailing behind a LoganRead More

It appears that the review is made sitting in a drawing room without ever driving a Logan.
No matter how loud one shouts, Logan is already swallowing up the mid car market with more than 2800 cars sold in the first month of launch, which no other car did in this segment.
so self styled critics... of LNG / LPG / CNG blah blah cars....sorry this timeRead More

Agree with you, just the value this machine gives against the price - beats the competition hollow.
Regarding the problem with reverse gears, I find it in my other car, Santro LE of 2000. I wrote about this in one of my earlier reviews. The reverse gear problem in Hyundai cars was reported by ot...hers also. However, I understand that this was rectified by Hyundai in models coming out after 2003.
The best thing that impressed me about Logan is - it is a very honest down to earth car. All the best and happy driving.Read More

well said Nrmst....people with limited idea and a driving experience of less than 10 years...suddenly become experts in cars....you have to aplogize to them for your practical review
After the Landmaster, Indian roads have rarely seen a car with so appropriate value for money. Even the initial Ma...ruty, selling at 48000 did not give the value for that money in those days.
Logan is a winner, but one needs to see whether India has matured enough to give more importance to substance than form.Read More

Really...we normally blame the Indian mentality (being Indians) when we can not win a debate after shouting ourselves horse..because we fail to see points of common sense.
Logan still remains the most practical car ...and the first point of my review - you proved how correct it is : )))

sorry...not a single point has been contradicted with logic...but a lot of reactionery shouting : ))) power and speed on highways is normally looked for my people who travel a lot between villages and towns.....Have you ever heard of Phantom IV-RR, do you know what is it's maximum speed and what it... is built for.......Logan is definitely not a car for upstarts and first generation city dwellers :))...as I told u, it is for Practical People. Those living in big cities know, how difiicult it is to find a road even to drive at 60..... Maruty Swift...anyway is a hatchback...so I leave it out of consideration.Read More

This is my third car(just to tell you I am not a novice in car usage) and I value a car on it's utility, not on some high funda feature that one may use once in a blue moon. Santro is my second car and I have been using it since the last 5 years. I am not an engineer and so won't indulge into technical details. I won't give a dime for how technically brilliant a machine is, I value the ease of use - beacuse a consumer buys a car not to put it in a technical meuseum,...Read more
