Well, what i feel here is dishtv is not at fault because the user have not taken dishtv connection from an authorised dealer....and if this is the case then its customer who is always at fault because what happen is people always go for more economic paths and therefore they faces these troubles. ... In this case its better if you can catch hold of your dealer and he is the only one who can help you. Also i have been using dishtv fro 2 years now, and no issues till now .Read More

But what ever channels you got in Tata sky will be available on dishtv and also dishtv offer's more at the same cost.....just missing a few newly launched channels (But for that Tata sky is charging very heavily from different packages). Home delivery: I don't know why ??? but from this i came... to know without seeing any thing poeple here wants everything at home and if any problem then they curse company for that...i don't thing its good. About cost: just make your calculations right: by no means dishtv is costlier........that is dishtv is always economical by tata sky by any means. Dear Sumanis007, Till now there is no way you can change the service provider by keeping the settop box. Just One thing i want to say is as you have written dishtv is not consumer freindly.....but my exp is different ...dishtv is not the best but good infact very good in all aspects.

Dear Vikram, I am having both the connection dishtv and tata sky at my home, and just read your review about Thompson stb of tata sky....frankly i don't have any idea about this but i am having Humax stb and i am very frequently facing this problem in my Humax stb.... while i am also having... dishtv and i am pretty happy with that ...you are talking about calling custome care....their may be chance that you have faced some problem in calling dishtv cust. care or in contacting them...but for me its okay i didn't find much reasons to call them its hardly two three times i have called them and that too some simple problem ...and get it resolved that time only...haven't have any trouble till know.Read More

Well its nice to see your review but to be very frank its more like a marketing leaflet from a company ....may its your own feeling also....let me clear some points here also as per my my best of knowlwdge...may be i am not 100% right. First : In tatasky you own only STB but the dish antenna and... LNB belong to the company and when you cancel your connection they will take it back and just to tell you without LNB and dish your STB is just a blank box worth for nothing. Second : Talking about dishtv offer opf Rs.4990 where it provides 12 months of free viewing which you have not mentioned (for maxi pack.@ Rs.300 .. saving will be Rs.3600). and also who told you about to pay Rs.167 after 18 months please check the links again on their website for full offer and details its not like that. Third: Tata sky Is cost Rs.3990 (Including Rs.1000 for installation) and Dishtv is Cost Rs.3150( Including Rs.200 for installtion) so which is economical???????????????? Fourth: About clarity and Services: Both uses same technology then how come their is difference in their clarity...its only in our mind the product i like will always looks clearer...???? Fifth: Active services; About active services and games and other interactive services ....i think you have not even seen this in dishtv and that why you are talking this nonsence.....i would like to say firat see both the products and then analyse.....i have both the products for more then 2 years...and tatasky for past 7 months...and based on my exp. i am listing these points.Read More

That's 100% true if you love to see regional channelsthen i would say your choice is best and unanimous as with only dishtv you will have almost all regional channels of all genre. not only telugu but also in all language zones. Even i am using dishtv for past 2 years and i am fully satisfied with t...hat....their are times when i have also faced some problem in my connection but its not a matter of much worry....over all its very good (my personal view on that may be other view is different). Dear Palani, First thing the channels you were talking about sun tv, jaya tv, CNN, BBC, ETC....all these channels are available on dishtv except Jaya tv, as it was dropped by dd direct from their platform and hence it was not available on dishtv as well. also for Sun tv previously it available ...through dd direct so its FTA channel and are available on all packages but it has been also removed by dd direct therefore now its not in free package ....if you want to see this then you have to subscribe for sun bouquet @ Rs. 50 to get this ....rest all the channels are available on dishtv.... Other think you also have one more customercare number which is local to you as you are in chennai then the number is 044- 60013474 after this you don't need to dial std number. Read More
