Interesting review. I recently travelled by Karnataka Rajdhani from Bangalore to Delhi and back. What I wanted to describe is already done here. Only I would grade the service as very poor. Once again, a good review.

After reading lot of nonsense , yours is a good and truthful review and so are the comments by others. Let us not be cry babies all the time and learn to appreciate a good thing when we see one. All those who talk of service of other airlines compare --- you pay 14000 rupees for DEL-BLR at last ...minute travel whereas Air Deccan would get you there for 3500-5000 at the most. After going through lot of complaints( not reviews exactly) I had posted my review of Air Deccan. Today after reading your review I feel you have conveyed the same feelings in a better way. All of us bear the delays of other airlines with a sheepish grin, if we complain, they hand over snacks co...upon , mumble an apology and our people are happy. Most of the delays are due to ATC systems and there is nothing an airline can do about. I have experienced similar delays by every other airline. Latest example is yesterday's( Nov 24, 2006) flight 123 of Sahara DEL-BLR. There was no intimation till reaching the airport that the flight had been cancelled. Their help desk could not tell us what could be done. Their ticketing staff told us that we have been accomodated in flight 139 via HYD which is leaving at 18-05. We rushed, checked in. Flight left at 19-20, the original time of 123. No information., no assistance. At least Air Deccan sends SMS or calls in such situations. Air Deccan, in my view is as good or as bad as any other airline. At the prices it offers it is the best. In all my journeys this year the highest fare I have paid is 1034, lowest 222 and I am not complaining. Sorry for writing so much, but it is a comment on all those unneccessary complaints as well. Careful when u fly in air deccan

I have travelled Air Deccan quite a few times this year meaning more than a dozen times. There was one cancellation, ticket was rescheduled for next day. Next day we reached just 20 minutes before departure, and were promptly accomodated, virtually escorted to the flight. Two flights timings were ch...anged by more than 3 hours. In a recent case a free ticket was offered for the delay, in addition to the journey in the delayed flight. All other flights were on time or with delay of upto one hour. All other airlines are also same. I have suffered rescheduling by Jet Airways and Sahara without intimation, at least Air Deccan sent SMS. All that is written about landing noises or plane noises is just drivel. There is no reason for anyone to write like that. We do not live in a perfect world and little bits of inconvenience is always there in any travel. Same people who write so much, bear all the smelly train journeys with all their delays without apology and rude behaviour of staff without any grudge. Only Air Deccan Bashing is becoming a popular hobby. I find that that most of the information furnished in this review is false. Read More

Air Deccan- Why do we complain?

Yes, the delays when they happen , are irritating. But they do happen with all the airlines. When it is Jet or Indian we grin and bear it , with a complimentary snack, if it is Air Deccan we shout at the top of our voices. As for low fares , yes the servers do crash down, but there are offers whic...h go unnoticed. I could see fares as low as Rs 1424 (including 550) for many days for MAA-CCU, MAA-BOM and even lower than this on DEL-BOM-DEL sectors for many days. Like Low cost carriers everywhere Air Deccan is trying to establish and doing quite okay.I wish others would also offer such low fares .And tickets are refundable if cancelled, an advantage with air deccan only.Read More
