We stayed at Hotel Sai Leela on 26 & 27 January, 2008. The place is nice, neat and clean and fairly priced. I had done first day's booking through ezeego1.com and called the hotel for booking another night also. The response was very prompt and polite.
While travelling from Pune to Shirdi we were stuck in a traffic jam and called the hotel 2-3 times informing about delay in arrival and each time they assured that the room is kept for us and we need not worry.
The hotel is a little away from the main road and about 10 minutes walk from the temple on a dusty road. Hotel has well maintained lawns and a small swimming pool, probably to keep the kids busy. People don't usually come to Shirdi to spend time in a pool.
There is a shuttle service to the Sai Baba temple which is a very good facility and made good use of by all the guests. Food in the restaurant is bit pricey for the quality offered. The rooms are fine, bathrooms need sprucing up and blankets were poor quality for the price paid.
On the whole, the shortcomings were made up by the wonderful behaviour of the reception staff both while checking in and checking out. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends too.
