Good review! Maybe one day Salman will get acting lessons but more likely he'll just go to the gym instead. Cheers!

are you the president of the Kareena Kapoor fanclub? I think you're supposed to review the movie - not gush about one of its performers.

I personally think that it's incredibly rude to say things like: 'Those critics and people who have said Lucky is not a good film are just pathetic people who are not open-minded and sensitive towards these kinds of film.' Maybe rather than making derisive sweeping generalizations about people ...who don't happen to share your opinion, you should just state your opinion and agree to disagree. Liking or disliking a movie does not make you a 'pathetic' person. Nor does disliking a movie necessarily entail that you are biased against the performers. If you respect the opinion of the other, it is easier to get respect in turn. Just some friendly advice.Read More

Honey I totally agree with you about Kareena... I find it completely mystifying how she still gets movies... personally I haven't met anyone over the age of 12 who likes her. Excellent review! Very analytical and well put. - Pardesi

Very few people can admit it when a Yashraj or Shah Rukh Khan movie is sub-par and I think it delightfully refreshing to hear an thoughtful and candid review. Personally I thought the movie was incredibly over-produced and boring.. sort of drunk on it's own self-importance as a classic - as you sai...d. I can't remember the last Shah Rukh or Yashraj movie that I thought was worth sitting through.. maybe DDLJ. Anyways - excellent review! I love to hear from people who don't swallow hype whole and regurgitate it for the rest of us (graphic I know!) - PardesiRead More

I should start this out by letting you in on a few secrets: Background Information I was very very wary to see a Hrithik Roshan movie after his last few Kareena-bombs so I waited until this had won several filmfare awards to see it. I couldn't sit through the whole thing. My parents ...Read more

Speaking as someone born and bred in pardes (hence the name) - in my 20-odd years I have encountered racism maybe once. White people are generally wonderful, accepting and interested in learning more about other cultures. I actually feel more accepted and able to be myself around white people... than brown... but maybe that's just me. Thanks for the warning!Read More

You made numerous bald-faced statements about 'woman directors' in general - I'm not sure that's entirely fair or even accurate - although perhaps you're not aware of how those comments come across. Just thought I'd let you know. Not that it's limited only to your review - I've found this in a m...any reviews of this movie which only tells me that these 'woman directors' have a lot of work left and that sexism remains ubiquitous in the motherland. Other than that - good review. Read More

I bought it the day it came out and read it within 8 hours - I tried to stretch it out but it just didn't work out that way. Anyways, as a huge fan of the Harry Potter series I was thrilled at the length of the book not only because of the price of the book but because of the long wait between t...Read more

In a Nutshell... This movie is the most expensive Hindi film ever made and it's immediately evident where all the money went: it's vibrant and colorful and beautiful. The actors are lavishly dressed and gorgeous props, the sets are opulent and spectacular. However, here's the downside: the mo...Read more
