Two months before its release, I was dying to see this movie and I somehow felt that it would be a great and a different movie. Hearing from the news that ''Superstar'' Hrithik Roshan was going to play quite a different role that involves emotional feelings, physical change and a new ''friend'', I decided to see it without any exceptions.

Argh.... was I wrong.

The other side of me kept on saying don't watch this, you know it will be awful because once you want to see a movie really badly, its expectations turns upside-down!

Plus, Rakesh Roshan hasn't directed any good movies (mentioning 'Karan Arjun'... oh god... 'Kaho Naa Pyar Hai' was a bit too hyped up and every girl in India saw it to see the new ''hunk'', and the story wasn't even great!) Except for 'Khel', that was funny!!! Anyways...

Trailers/Teasers are the most cunning thing that has ever been invented! I swear! On T.V., the movie looked so spectacular! And yet, oh boy, watching the movie had a totally different story.

{Oh and by the way, I thought Hrithik Roshan was gonna play the alien, which would have made more sense cause he looks like one!}

And, on to the movie. {In case you haven't notice, I really don't tell the synopsis of the movie because I think there is no point to, and besides many people know the story and it will take up my writing space!)

So, I saw this movie at the end of September, nearly 2 months after its release.

I was really glad to see that this movie mentioned Canada! BUT! What really made me tick was that Canadians were speaking British? yeah right whatever... And then that scene came up where the other 'white' scientists were being racist towards Rakesh's character. How rude was that! Canadians are not like that!

Anyways, back to the story, I think that in the beginning of the movie before the basketball match, the movie was alright, I mean there were times where you felt really sorry for Rohit Mehra (H.R.) and H.R. has done a good job being him! But to tell you the truth, that weird gay guy (im referring to the bully, but have you seen the clothes he was wearing?!?!), the teacher and other people who were being rude to him is not even realistic! Things like that don't happen to mentally challenged people! It was real harsh!

Oh by the way, I did not watch the whole movie, I only stopped when the song 'Haila Haila' came on, cause I couldn't take it anymore. So I don't know what happened at the ending, so I will just explain how I thought to that point of the movie below.

Hrithik Roshan: For a while now, I couldn't spell his name properly! Lol... He was good... in the beginning and all playing a child-like character and it actually looked like the real Rohit Mehra, not H.R. But once 'Jadoo' has fixed him, I thought ''Uh-Oh'' it's Hrithik... and he's back! aaaaahhhh!! With his girl-like dancing, girl-like looking, and his weird popeye muscles... He became annoying after his surreal change.

Preity Zinta: Uh... Kuch Khaas Nahin.... eh, she played some girl, she did nothing if you look at it this way, she was just ''there''. But I wouldn't understand the idea of a 22 year old girl falling for a guy with the mind of a 12 year old or under! Micheal Jackson's fantasy? I think so!

The Kids: They're kids, they were alright, they tried to be funny but it was more on H.R. all the time anyways. They didn't have that much of a role. But the thing is that movie was for KIDS only.

Rekha!: She was great, even though she had a small role, she was determined to even show that she can act for a little part. The thing that bothered me in this movie, how they lacked the appearance of her while they kept on showing H.R. and P.Z. I mean SHE IS THE MOTHER OF THE MAIN CHARACTER! They didn't show much love and care between them.

Jadoo?: I thought he was a bit scary looking. He looked like an anteater (an animal) and the same thing happened to him! They lacked his appearance in the movie they kept on showing H.R. and P.Z. ''love life''. That's why I stopped watching the movie. Cool technical specs on him though. Yet, there were a lot of bloopers like he did some magic without the sun and stuff like that.

SONGS: I didn't like one song a bit. They all sounded dead and there was nothing spectacular about them.

The sets of the movie was real fake also.

The reason in my title I said that I am alone, because many people like this movie. I guess I'm different!

Did You Know? :

  • All the movie Rakesh Roshan has directed, their titles always begin with the letter ''K''

  • This is the seventh movie Rakesh Roshan and Rekha has starred in together. The first is ''Khoobsurat'' - which is a great movie, fun for the whole family

  • In case you have not notice, Rakesh and his brother Rajesh has both copied songs and movie stories - many people say that this movie is much like 'E.T.' or 'Forrest Gump' yet they did not know that this movie exactly copied the story from a Canadian show called ''Are You Afraid of The Dark'', Episode 60 called:

The Tale of the Unexpected Visitor

This episode was about two best friends who play in a music band together. Jeff, (a guy who wears glasses and has the same type of hair as Rohit Mehra did) is very smart and his father is a scientist. His best friend, saw the equipments Jeff's father uses, in which the father works for his 'special space project', the two friends send some of their music into space. And apparently attracts the attention of an alien creature who has received their message.

  • There are two songs from the movie, which has copied other music from other languages: 'Idhar Chala' - is a Russian symphony song, which its title I have forgotten :( I apologize.

Then, the other song is 'In Panchiyon', (that special alien song) - from a song called 'Trans-Europe Express' from the group called Kraftwerk

So even though I have given some positive things about this movie, I still didn't like it...
