Shiney is a very good actor but I am not sure whether he is framed in this case. Even if it was not a rape, it was certainly immoral of a man with a wife and a toddler to engage in such an act with his maid. You are right that the film industry is full of such cases but I don't agree with you that j...ust because others get away, Shiney too should be released. Your list is absolutely fantastic and same as mine and you have to be confident about Sridevi being in the list of Top 5. When directors like Shekhar Kapoor and Yash Chopra consider her the best in the industry, who are those ''Many'' Tom, Dicks and Harries? Does their garbage opinion really matter?

Thanks for your response Bhowmick. While I am a huge fan of Sridevi, I too liked her much more in her South movies, specifically Tamil movies. She did some great stuff in Tamil like Moondram Pirai, Meendum Kokila, 16 Vayadhinile and Varumayin Niram Sivappu of the Tamil movies I have watched of hers.... Among her Telugu movies, I love Kshanam Kshanam and also enjoyed Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari.Read More

Great Review of one of the classics of Indian cinema. Never will this happen again that the audience remembers the heroine more than anything else of a superhero film. I always like Anil in any role but must admit..Sridevi did it yet again. A memorable performance.

Patneik and the reviewer, I do not agree that Madhuri kicked off Sridevi from the top and I also do not understand that why Sridevi's name has to pop up in a Madhuri review. If Madhuri dethroned Sridevi, then Kajol dethroned Madhuri but surprisingly people, specially Mahduri fans will not talk about... late 90s but only stick themselves upto mid 90s.Read More

Ashish, I think being introvert has been the biggest disadvantage with Sridevi because in this world, more than doing your job, you need to blow your own trumpet which Sridevi never did. I do not think that many actresss who were pitched against Sridevi later were in the same league. She has been la...rgely underrrated by all the media houses, awards etc..all due to her introvert nature. The famous critic Rauf Ahmed pointed this out rightly enough in one of his review on Indian actresses. His statement was ' Sridevi would have been dubbed as the best actress ever but for her poor PR'.Read More
