She's the best !. Review on Sridevi

Sridevi has been the heart throb of the south since she was 2 years and then she went on to rule India. The Times of India Independence day Special this year has shown Sridevi as the queen for the decade 1980-90. Her performances in the south with Kamal Hassan and Rajnikant, NTR and ANR, Krishna and Sobhan and later with Chiranjeevi, Nagarajuna and Venkatesh  have given hits after hits  .

So much so that Kamal Hassan once said that acting with Sridevi gives him the energy to raise his level of performance lest the audience might not notice him. The roles that both Sridevi and Kamal Hassan played in Sadma in Hindi or Moondram Pirai in Tamil or Vasanta Kokila in Telugu proves this point that Kamal said. Talking of her stint in Hindi she started of with remakes of Telugu movies with Jeetendra like Himmatwala, Maqsad, Mawwali, Tohfa, Justic Chaudary and many more all of them super hits.

She graduated to better movies and did Chandni and Lamhe with Yash Chopra, Khuda Gawah with Amitabh Bachchan, Karma with Subhash Ghai, Mr.India with Boney Kapoor and many such hits which will long be remembered. She was Rekha , Mumtaz and Zeenat all rolled in one with the powerhouse  performance, dancing prowess and oomph and glamour.

The hallmark of this great actress was that she quit when she was still in the limelight and had given hits like Judaai.She won accolades from her co-stars not just for her acting but for her dedication and professionalism towards her work and her no-partying, no-nonsense focussed acting career.
