A few tips for mileage sir.. I belive I am eligible to give mileage tips as I am a good mileage taker. I take max 73 and min 67 kmpl in my Splendor when I do a 24+24 kms up and down office from Avadi Chennai to Mount Road Chennai. Up would be in medium dense traffic and down will be in empty roads (...midnight). --> Never cruise. Take the scooter to 30+ kmph speed as soon as possible and avoid harsh brakes and sudden pulls. ---> Maintain your vehicle in a regular basis. Get air filter and other components checked. --> Maintain correct air pressures as prescribed in manual. If the orads you ride is smooth and good, please increase by 2-3 psi points, it would improve mileage. ---> Avoid idling anywhere. Since this is a self starter, switch off when in signals even for 30 seconds. Follow all these and I assure you can see at least a 10 kmpl hike in your FE. Kumar 72000-67199Read More

@priya_khan Congras on your best buy. I travel with my friend in this bike 50 kms / day up and down to office. Of course backpain may be an issue. But for short trip makers, that shouldn't be a prob. Its wheels haev very nice road grip in overtaking, zig zag and cutting rides. Mileage is around 50... kmpl which is not bad for a scooter.Read More

what Prajinyan says is true. Its always the best practice to kick start any vehicle in the morning... Its good for the battery life too... Engine needs some heat to start... understand this basic thing first..

my friend has onebought in Aug 2013. 7 months and 8500 kms. per daay 25+25 = 50 kms from home to office. all zig zag curves and cuts easily handled by Ray. Tyres are good, good friction, reliable for rash driving too.. steady at speed of 75 kmph in populad roads. would recommend this bike.

Ford seems THE WORST among Insian car makers. they can better switch to shoe making rather car making and money sucking from customers..... Bull sh**

I challenge this customer for such a poor mileage. Either the engine is tuneed bad, trye not inflated properly, or driing is not up to the mark. 10 kmpl in 800cc Maruthi's unimaginable. You won't belive me if I tellu the mileage I got from my old M800 Non AC 1996 engine in the year 2007. Mecha...nic drove 13 kms in half litre petrol in my hands (mileage test) which gives 26 kmpl. I practically got 22 in highway/ outskirts and 18-20 in city. So please check for the real fault. M for Maruti and M for mileage.Read More

What Siddharth has said is correct mosesv... Don't rev. @ least 2-2.5 k kms, please don't even imagine 100's. This will decide the life of ur engine. IF u r patient now, ur Alto 800 would give u more than satisfaction.. pls don't rev.. love ur car...

you took the right decision Kumar. Thank God you were not one among the ones who are carried by the uselsss looks and fluidic design of EON, which is just a rat on wheels. Imagine the heavy body on such small wheels. Mileage is below 12.5 kmpl in citi like CHeanni with AC. Highway hardly touches 17-...18 with AC for a 814 cc engine. Alto though looks little crampy would be enjoyable. Good Luck and Safe motoring bro..Read More
