This movie is one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. Nothing happens. It's like a serial that goes nowhere. The story is about people who come to Mumbai to make it big in the film industry. With such an idea, you can come up with hundreds of interesting plots and make up a very very ...Read more

Too few comments describing the movie, and too many slamming critics and others who didn't like the movie make for a not useful review.

sorceror, whatever the average rating on indiafm.com, I didn't like the movie and my review explains why. Besides, it looks like the movie has only 30% collections and is on its way to becoming a flop. So it looks like my opinion is in the majority. Rating the review 'not useful' is not really right... just because you don't agree with it. Whatever. Read More

Couldn't agree with you more! I had exactly the same reaction (check out the review): Madhuri rocks, but man she needs a much better film vehicle for a relaunch. lpshonlu, congrats! your review was honoured as the review of the day! And you also gave the movie the same ratings as me. I'm adding y...ou to trust circle. Read More

Madhuri! The very name itself causes millions of hearts to start beating a little faster. She is a modern-day Goddess worshipped by millions, a phenomenon, a class-apart in today's era of insipid mediocre actresses, none of whom fire men's imaginations like Madhuri did and still does. Thus it wa...Read more

Point me one thing I have said in my review that is 'galat salat jhoot'. If you are Indian, believe in democracy and free speech, you should allow everyone to express their own views about something even if you don't agree. I didn't like the movie and I've expressed what I felt. Simple.

I don't find anything self-contradictory in the review. I think I justify well why I don't recommend it. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough to you.

You've raised good points. I too was very disappointed with this movie. Completely agree that the editing was abrupt throughout the movie and most of it was wasted on the lead couple's shenanigans.

The movie didn't have substance. It was a one-track story, and most of it was all about Aish and Abhishek, with the real politics of the story relegated to the background.

I agree with you. The entire feel of the movie was vague, and it definitely didn't convey any sense as to the reason Gurukant should be hailed as a hero. Well-written.

The story, as much as there is of it, is about how a villager from Gujarat dreams of creating an industrial empire and how he runs afoul of socialist anti-business Indian laws in the 70s. A lot can be done with a meaty theme like this one, but Mani Ratnam fails miserably. The first half is taken...Read more

boss prasiddha, thanks for confirming what i expect from this movie: rona dhona , overmelodramatic crap , a story from the 80s, Kkk serials in movie format, basically BORING! Will wait for a month or so till the overall picture emerges, but I have high trust in your opinion because mostly it ends up... matching my own, so thanks for the warning and will likely just watch it on cable or DVD (if that) when the time for a chickflick comes around ;).
