Frame: The Alite series 150, 300, 500 and 1000 all use the same 6061 Alloy frame - this aluminium alloy material is very popular across well known bicycle manufacturers. Riding Position:  As a user, I found the Alite frame geometry to be more comfortable than the Btiwn Rockrider 5.2 and ve...Read more

Nice review on the Searcher! Do let us know a little more on how your long rides / trail rides went on the Searcher. What about the seat is uncomfortable - does it come with a suspension seat post, or is the seat width not matching the sit bones? As you said, the Searcher (and Sporterra) is a goo...d entry level bike for newbies - do post some more about your experiences with this bike - like how many km you have done on it, what your average use of the bike is during a week / month etc. A product comparison will also be fantastic! Happy riding!Read More

Good review! Same questions as Vishak - can you please let us know if you have done any long rides on this bike? Also, did you do any comparison against Merida or similar priced bikes before settling in on Sporterra? Your inputs will be very useful!

I concur with Shankar, and unfortunately, seriously disagree with your review. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book many, many times, and can't see how you could have possibly missed the fact that Montmorency was a dog. The title says so. You probably approached the book with the distaste th...at arises out of being 'forced' to read it. I am an adult now, but I first read it when I was in school myself, and have read it many times since. The book is a social discourse of sorts, and built entirely upon a single journey, but the author manages to skilfully touch upon very diverse issues in life. Try 'reading' it again in a few years, you'll probably change your mind. GaragasaRead More

Your review is a very good synopsis of The Hobbit! Hopefully it the review will persuade more people like grandmacmi to become lifelong fans of Tolkien!

Your thoughts on the war on Iraq are quite well formed and strong. While I agree with your emotions your article leaves me feeling that you looked at the situation like the proverbial horse with blinders on. But your enthusiasm and the fact that you take trouble to read every review and reply to t...he writer - is very very commendable. You have amazing spirit keep it up! But at the same time do look at others views dispassionately - this is a political issue and is bound to affect different folks differently. Some may react harshly yet others may not react at all. That is the kind of situation the war is - never does it do much good to those touched by it.Read More

This book forms a very nice introduction to the world of Tolkien. Set as a prequel to his better known work - Lord of the Rings now made all the more famous thanks to Peter Jackson's perseverence and efforts - the Hobbit tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins and a band of thirteen dwarves led by Thori...Read more

Let me start by saying - I am not a huge fan of Serena. However, an athlete like Serena (or Ronaldo, or Beckham, or Sachin) is under scrutiny by the media and the public all the time. Their public persona's are a little bit of who they are, and a lot of who they are made out to be. The competit...ive drive that these athletes exhibit is phenomenal and is often mistaken for arrogance. However, the fact is that they believe so strongly in themselves and realize what they stand to gain or lose at every single match. This is what keeps them razor sharp. Its not just talent, but the efforts they put in to get to the top and stay there - something beyond the pale of most people. We tend to overvalue a seemingly modest facade, one which is more often put on, rather than innate - a feature exhibited to an extreme degree in another class of public personae - actors and politicians. Do consider all these factors before passing judgement on someone - or.... just try walking around with a nasty blister on your foot, or even play a 2 hour tennis game in front of an audience !Read More
