My comfortable Schwinn Sporterra hybrid bike
Sep 06, 2010 07:55 PM 23951 Views

Earlier, with a hectic job, I would have no time for fitness. Considering cycling to be the easiest exercise, I decided to ditch the car and commute to work on a cycle. Since, the only time I get to ride the cycle is while commuting to work, I didn’t want to buy just an ordinary cycle. It was important to me that I opt for one that strikes the right balance between quality and style. And not to forget, the type—mountain bike or road bike --was the most important aspect of all. When buying a bike, it is important that one knows what they want from their bike. Like to me, I wanted one that was ideal for fast and easy commute on roads but, at the same time, not forgetting the adventure junkie inside me, the bike should also be ideal for expeditions. And what could be better than a hybrid bike to strike the perfect balance?

After a thorough research, I zeroed in on Schwinn Sporterra, a hybrid bike. It is simple and affordable. I can vouch and say that this bike is any ordinary person’s best bet. Now, what I really like about the bike is that it is light weight and perfectly made for a city rider like me. Its cross frame provides me an upright riding position, making riding comfortable.  Though it is lightweight, it offers me good strength to ride on rough surfaces. So, you see it combines features from the road bike and the mountain bike perfectly. The gear shifting is smooth and amazing. Then, it’s got suspension speed posts to insulate against bumpy roads. Moreover, the larger wheel diameter and wider rim offer higher speed and increased strength, respectively. So far I love the whole experience because the bike is ultra comfortable. It is a simple bike and therefore considered weakest when compared to Sporterra Sport and Spoterra Comp. Maybe it is not the best bike in the Sporterra series, but it is good enough for those who love simplicity.
