My Thoughts On Terrorism. Review on War on Iraq: Case For 'Yes'

Certainly I want and believe in Peace.  But I also believe in Terrorist being destroyed!  They have no right to be here on earth but they are and will always be.  It’s a part of life.

The problem with this war or any war for that matter is this:  It doesn't matter if we kill Saddam and his leaders or the Bin Ladin's of the world, there will always be more to rise up after them.  We may slow them down however but that will be about it.  There will always be terror of some kind.  We have terror here in the States even by our own people day in and day out!  The KKK for example is a terrorist group if you ask me.  We have kids shooting kids, drive by shootings, racism, etc., all are part of terrorism.  It never stops!

So we are told that Saddam, the leader of Mass Destruction Weapons, a cruel, horrible man must be destroyed!  A man who sought to hurt; and killed his own people, men, woman and children with Mustard Gas!  A man who would just as well shoot you as to look at you or to have one of his army to do this horrible deed.  A man who raised his children to be the same way as himself.  A man who over threw the Countries Government simply because he wanted to be in charge.  A man who invaded Kuwait and started a war.  A man who bombed Israel because he felt like it. A man who has stolen, cheated, lied, raped and killed, just because he felt like it.  A man who is beyond mean.  These things we all should know by now.  And yet people ask why we should get rid of him?  Because he is this type of person!  Because he is a threat and always has been.  He has help to fund terrorist for a long time now.  Shoot, look at Hitler, he was the same way.  He didn't care who he killed or how just so he could be in control of people, just so long as he could pass his evil on to the world.

He must be destroyed!  This is what we are all told.  Now some agree with this and some don't and some don't care one way or the other.  Saddam's own people are running from him, thanking the American Army for coming to help.  Praising the Soldiers there from all over the world for being there to help.  Why would they be so happy if they liked their leader?   Why would they be running from such a man if they supported him?  His own Army is defecting because they don’t like him.  They say as much!

The US has made sure that the innocent know to stay out of harms way.  That this war is not about them but about their horrible Leadership; who would not get rid of their Mass Destructive Weapons.  Saddam is not supposed to have Scud Missile’s but he does, he is using them in this war!  Saddam is a known liar and cheat and a known murderer and horrible person the people say.  The US has bombed no homes of the innocent but the places owned by the Government of Iraq.  That is the only intent!  Someone has to try and help these people who are being terrorized day in and day out!  Someone has to try and help make the world a safer place to live in.  Someone has to try and help all Countries to sleep better at night!  So why not the US or Britain? Or the other countries fighting?  No one will ever agree on this no matter where we live or who we are or where we go!

Why bomb Iraq?  Not for the oil.  America does not get oil from Iraq!  Iraq will not sell America their oil.  In fact, the US only gets oil from Kuwait and Saudi and then only 15%.  The reason America is wanting to protect the oil is because there are other countries that depend on that oil for life, for money, for their own people.  Countries like France, China, Russia and Germany and many others.

It is said that America has dropped fliers over the country of Iraq to ensure that they understand not to fight against them but to pick themselves up and fight against Saddam.  To fight for a free country!  To fight to have a better life; to choose their own Government.  Shouldn’t they have that chance?  Shouldn’t they be allowed to vote for their own countries leaders and not be demanded or controlled?  It is said that Saddam only shows on TV what he wants them to see.  If this is true then this is wrong.   It is also said that America has dropped food and clothing and medicines down to the people of Iraq.  How grateful these people are that someone actually cares for them!  They say as much to the media.

When I hear the mother cry because her son or daughter is at war it breaks my heart.  I have no idea how she may feel but I know how I would feel if it were my son.  If my son was truly doing what he believed in then I would support that.  That would be the Oath that he took should he go into the Armed Services.  That is the Oath that all men and women take.  To defend their country no matter what!  I have a son in law and a brother who are in the Services and it’s very scary.

We have had wars before and most likely will again, that is the way life is.  No one wants to see people die but it’s a part of life.  We all do two things in life and that is to live and to die.  We don’t have to do anything else.  I, as a Christian woman know that God has a big plan.  And in that, He knows when we are to be born and when we are to die and where we will be born and where we will die.  In order for His plan to continue on, then there will be lives to die, even during this war, just where God has said they would die. Believing that, then I have to believe that this war was supposed to happen.  The book of Matthew, Chapter 24 in the Bible teaches me that there will be wars and rumors of wars in the end of days.  For me, this war is Biblical and soon the Lord will come and take me home!

I trust that the US will do what they say in helping the Country of Iraq to rebuild and to become a free Country. I trust that all Nations will pull together to help this Country to be free and to have food, clothing and medicines that are needed.  I trust that all Nations will help one another to do this always!

Over the last couple of days I have kept the TV on as most have done.  I have listened to all of it.  I have gone to my knees many times and prayed for these people of Iraq and for all the Soldiers from both sides.  I have prayed that Gods Will be done no matter what that Will is.  It is not for me to pass judgment on my President or Saddam for that matter.  It is not anyone’s place.

Will there be Peace after this war?  I sure hope so.  Will the US be condemned for fighting this war?  Of course they will!  Will the US be blamed for this war?  Of course for they are being blamed now!  Will Iraq ever be a free Country?  I don’t know but I sure hope so!

Will there be Peace ever?  Certainly one day there will be.  When God Himself comes and swipes the Devil with His Own Hands to rid the world of evil.  Then yes, there will be Peace.  Until that time, people  must work together to rid the world of terrorist!  To rid the world of evil!  People must work together to help others to be free and to live in a free country.  To help others have food and clothing and medicines. If the US and other countries can help to do this then should they not?  Why should they be ridiculed for doing what is right?  Why should people believe that the US is cruel?  I don’t have those answers and may never for that matter.  People are always going to disagree with why and that’s a fact.

Some of you who read this will not agree and that’s okay for that is your right and I respect that.  We are all human and we all have feelings about different things and think differently and react differently.  But, we are all brothers and sisters on this earth and we all can agree to disagree.
