Worst book in the world

This is taken straight out of my book report I had to write for school :i would like to inform the class about my thoughts and opinions about this book and how I think the author could have written a better book. Many people disagree with me as I have researched and found out that many adults actually enjoyed this book and found it hilarious. But I have come to an obvious opinion that it is not a childrens book

There is absolutely no specific plot to the story. All I can say is its about a boat trip and the rest of the book is side tracks or stupid conversations, the only things that happens is they boat sleep , eat , talk , and think (< way too much).

In my eyes Jerome k Jerome is a horrible author- but I must admit he was somewhat funny. He goes on for three pages about oak staircases! And I read the whole book without even realizing that Montmorency is a dog. He made the book very unclear and tricky. It is most hard writing a book report on since literally nothing happens.

If Jerome K. Jerome was still alive today and wanted my suggestions I wouldn’t be able to give any to him because this is his style of writing he wrote it in a fist person point of view as if he took the reader and placed them into his brain. It was as if he was discussing everything with you that you truly don’t care less about. He compared every little thing with something else and that’s the only reason it took 230 pages the whole plot could probably be written down onto 5 pages. Reading this book was serious torture that I couldn’t stand. So many times I put it down frustrated about how nothing was happening. Also the old English that he used was very uninviting. If Jerome were ever to have written a children;s book I think I might have burnt it since the adult one was so horrifying. I still can;t believe how I managed reading it. But I got threw it and now I;m criticizing it because that;s the only thing I can do.

He is a very unclear author as I mentioned I didn;t realize how Montmorency was a dog when I finally did and went back onto it and realized how the whole time it was unclear but that was his purpose to bore you out and make you come back and relize it
