Never liked Paulo Coelho .. Even Alchemist was drivel, in my opinion. All he has done in this book is added some elements of mysticism. Par for the course as far as he is concerned.

devv, I did follow the TV series, but after a while I got bored with it. Not a committed X-filer I guess. Well-written review. I always felt that there was scope for a romantic angle between Mulder and Scully. Maybe thats happened in this movie, eh? Do write often. R.I.P

Yeah, there is no comparison between the 'new' Batman and the ones played by the likes of George Clooney, Kilmer, Keaton et al. The new version is more brooding, intense and dark compared to the others. Another interesting point .. and I am saying this based on the reviews, haven't seen the movie... yet. When the story is well-written and the villain has been picturised well AND a competent actor gets the role, the result is brilliant. Cue Nicholoson, Ledger. Even someone like Tommy Lee Jones was reduced to rubbish in his role as Two-face in the Kilmer Batman version .. and WTH was Schwarzenegger doing in one of the movies! R.I.P ps: Do watch Batman Begins .. its worth the watch as well.Read More

indian1969, Was it necessary for you to reveal the entire story including the death of the love interest? Your review has been a big-time spoliler! Kindly include a spoiler alert at the beginning for unsuspecting readers like me. Coming to the review, you’ve written well as ever. I like the f...act that you have referred to other works of the main crew .. always helps to know that the reviewer knows his domain. Am not sure where the ’No Country for Old Men’ thingie comes in. In the Batman comics, Two-face has always been known to toss a coin before his moves. Nice job. R.I.P Read More

I have once gone through the photo album of Rohit. I don't remember reading his revs, and I don't know him personally either. But I'll go with your assessments of him :) Incidentally, what occasion prompted this review? RIP

IPL V- Kings prevail over Indians

Apr 24, 2008 04:48 PM

Sachin's return may not make much difference. And I think the two Singhs, Yuvraj and Harbhajan, are the worst captains in IPL right now .. followed by Laxman.

IPL IV- Discharged by Daredevils

Apr 24, 2008 03:39 PM

Good post If you notice, all teams that have packed themselves with foreign batsmen are being sent to the cleaners. Deccan's bowling is absolutely lousy. Unless their batsmen get the runs, they will struggle. I like the look of the Delhi team. They and Chennai look good for the semi-finals. Out of t...he rest, I think KKR is over-rated and BRC has been under-rated. Rajasthan Royals have the best captain in the tournament.Read More

This is your second review I am reading .. and its a pity that people who I suspect may be really good also end up writing on this topic. I must say I disagree with more than 90% of your list but hey, thats my opinion. Most of the people you mentioned play to the gallery. Very few write for the s...ake of writing and to serve the core purpose of this website - provide information about a product and aid the consumer. I agree with exactly 4 names. So, there is a match somewhere. R.I.PRead More

Good review, definitely not your best. There are high expectations from you, you know that? :-) That subtle reference to Romeo and Juliet was nice. Not comparing Jodi and William now, are we? Do write more. R.I.P

Fabulous review. Very impressed with the amount of background details that you have provided. Helped in setting the book and the review in context. Happened to read some of the other comments. Bookasur seems to be a tag deserved and well-earned. Keep writing. @pri20 - Bones is loosely based on... the works of Kathy Reichs. She is a forensic anthropologist. Am not sure there is a link to Patricia Cornwell or her works R.I.PRead More
