ratna - lovely review!! i'm always drawn to jekyll and hyde stories and hulk seems right up there .... i never read the comics so i dont know how much of that impression comes from ang lee's world. btw, i loved the artsy take of the 2003 version (might be the only one here tho :) .... marvel cert...ainly know when they have a good thing going, as all the tie-ups u mentioned at the end suggest. i just hope that in the future when they do make these movies with all the characters, none of them is short-changed. x-men 3 comes to mind ... anyway, as for the brazillian drinks, i know i'm addicted to guarana drinks, there's a huge market for overseas drinks here ... we get all kinds, even from asia, india etc nice review once again .... now to watch this and iron man!!!! i really liked miranda for her confidence, her dry sense of humour and the maturity she grows into later in the series with the baby and steve's (is that the name, cant remember anymore) mom etc ... she always seemed to me to be most normal of the foursome. i thought sam was the most non-judgemental... .... did read the nyt review, v. detailed. wondering if i shld just let good memories of the series carry me through - but i agree with u, carrie was endearing and vulnerable and no one cld have done carrie like sjp, she is fabulous in the role. never thought of her face as cubistic before but i now see it's quite an accurate description :)Read More

u must realise that the ultimate goal of the management is keeping clicking on the pages of the site, who cares if it's thru reviews or diaries or photos. and if they dont, even u shldnt ..... ur just setting urself up for disillusionment if u think that anything u do here affects things.

sanjoy, i wish u hadnt pointed me to that blog. is it possible to lose all respect for a filmmaker, just through the way he thinks ?? i read the makign of sarkar, and the reason why he has such overloud and melodramatic bg music :S and all the parts which i found obnoxious in the first part were app...arentyl done with a lot of thought behind them. and, ur right the answers to KM's reviews are not even funny, he just seems PO'ed. and surely such a reputed filmmaker wld have grown a thicker skin by now. oh well, whatever ..... i've lost all interest in part 2 now. hey samir - u know the thing i wrote abt thinking only RK had this legacy abroad? i was shopping this weekend and suddenly the checkout girl was asking me if i was indian and if i knew mithun chakraborty !!!!! she was a polish girl and apparently had grown up with his movies, was a crazy fan of him... and his dancing and was seriously saving money to go to india and meet him. we bummed her out a bit tho by disclosing that he was married and had 3 kids :) was thinking that it was so funny this happened to me just after reading ur review and making that particular comment .......Read More

ips!! wonderful analysis of the movie ....... now that u mentioned it, i remember that this one was so notorious for that action sequence and i never got arnd to seeign it because of that. sounds v. intriguing from what u've related here. i did watch history of violence, found it v. interesting whil...e i was watching but not sure i liked it much. but of course, i'm always more concerned with the story unfolding on screen rather than direction and technique. anyways, it's great to see u writing here after so long. dont disappear again :)Read More

monica - ohh too bad!!!!!! i thought it was such a great idea to have a movie - catch up with the girls we've all come to love and all that. was really looking forward to it ..... i know i'm still going to catch it. i sat up late nights watching it too :) it's too bad that the fashion has gone th...e way of devil wears prada ...... i loved loved loved the unaplolgetic flaunting of designs, shoes, accessories etc etc but then, u know what i'm talking about :D tell me do u really think carrie was the most balanced of the lot ?? she always came across as a bit selfish and self-centered to me.Read More

... also ... i wonder if the trusted circle feed could be updated to reflect only the activity of the profiles who the person trusts rather than everyone in the trusted network.

Some points some clarifications

Jun 04, 2008 11:38 PM (Updated Jun 05, 2008 12:55 AM)

... Hi Jasmine, Most of your changes are indeed for the better. I just have a minor quiblle about the navigation of the reviews/diary pages. Instead of being able to view all reviews/posts at a glance, with all the information available - who wrote it, what it’s abt etc now we have to browse a...nd read through 5 pages. For those of us who come here sometimes just to browse, it is very diffucult to do so with the current layout. Also, it is more difficult since every single category is jumbled up in those pages. I would like to either have 1) the layout of the current pages improved (maybe columns like the earlier ones) so that we can get all the relevant info in a glance without haveing to look through all the text 2) the old review/diary pages with the simple links could be added as additional pages or 3) separate the reviews according to catgory. Browsing by category will not be as difficult as the current layout is. Thanks for Reading. Ps. I have daily summary alerts set and they are not in my bulk folders.Read More

:) i agree abt all the hot profiles and trusted circle feeds. dont really need all that info. i kinda liked the look of the home page when i logged in last night. but i just hate how the reviews have been organized now. earlier the simple text and links were so easy, u cld register who, what abt, et...c all at once. navigating thro 5 pages of a lot of text and images is going to get very painful. i already foresee that in the future i will probably only click on the email alerts i get :((Read More
