Hi Somonnoy
You may be right in saying that I wrote less details from the book to support my opinion. But I don' t know who you are referring to by saying 'so much for getting high'. Is it Sen or I?
However, although the the essays were written before he got the Prize, the book does not do justi...ce to its title. In this regard, I consider my review of TAI adequate, whether somebody likes it or not. One does not need to go into lenghty details about a myriad book written very badly and without sense, purpose or reason. There is a risk of falling into a trap of intellectual debate without no end.
However, your view tells something about what was lacking in the review.
Regards

Hello, nice review. But I would like to add that this novel is not only about what happens to Ganesh, MBE, Mystic (lol) or the Indian immigrants' in Trinidad some 50 years ago, but is also about 'How to decipher autobiographies written by our politicians like Laloo (hopefully) and Advani.'
That's ...Sir VS.

Hey hello
Language? Don't worry about it. Just be yourself. Acting refined and polished and pretending to be somebody from England does no good other than pretending to be. That's a sad thing about this country. There are too many people who is afraid of using four-letter words. You can of course... use four-letter words against corrupt politicians, for example. They don't deserve respect.
Well, coming back to your work, good review, but would have been better if you mentioned 'why' this book is such and such.
Take care

Hi Karthik
Yes, I love good books. In that you are right.
But the conclusion you have arrived about my personality after reading my reviews, is not. I never mentioned that I'm more knowledgeable than you, or for that matter from anybody in MS or outside it. I never said 'Look! I'm Tolstoy.' ...
I just wrote some reviews. That's all. And I love good books.
Take care

Hi Gautam
I am yet to read his other books, such as Power Shift, but that will not happen since I have moved on now. I wrote this review, a long time ago, when I was new in MS as well as a beginner. I think these kind of writers are simply cuckoos. They write sh** and earn truckloads of money.
...
So take care, will be following your profile for some time.

You read my mind. This year on V Day, I went with a bunch of my pals to eat awesome Chinese food at Leela Palace, Bangalore. We were the odd sorts there. Many couples were silently eating while us, exhausted from a day of writing boring beat stories, were laughing like Donald Duck's nephews and sipp...ing wine loudly. I don't mean to make fun of those couples who sat there eating silently and whispering God knows what words to one another, but they looked foolish. I have to admit that for some people not one day passes without them kissing their girl or doing a cute, honest favour for her. That's, that's what love is. Right?
So about Feb 14, it's just another day for some good business.Read More

I did to the book what 'magicalsummer' did (read the first comment on this page). FPS was pretentious; I could not bear it. I don't have a grudge against the writer. I prefer to keep an open mind and not to judge writers by the cover. But truth be told, FPS misleads readers by turning a fine book in...to a FMCG.
Cheers!

How are you? I read your review too, and I will tell you, though I'm not obliged to return your compliment, that yours is miles ahead in content and style than mine. Yours is balanced; mine radical. Never the less, I'm glad that I have found a friend on MS. Looking forward to reading your reviews.

Take care.

Wow! I feel like Mark Twain! Well, that was a tall order.
I like writing book reviews. But I like your reviews more because they are so random - on anything.
I don't write on the net except for MS. You may buy 'Down To Earth.' It's a niche magazine. Please look for the byline of A.Debanish S...ingh. I write on developmental issues.

Hi
I don't use funny words often, but yes, now I would like to write, 'One hell of a review!'
I never got it why people jumped with joy 20 feet in the air when they bought the Monk. I just didn't get it. Your review has put the book to a place it really deserves.

I won't stand in the middle. I would rather be right or wrong. Well, your points are well given. I agree with all of them.
Thing is a woman cannot share a bunker in Siachen with four men. We'd better stop being sentimental about why women can't serve in forward areas. NGOs that have nothing else... to do ramble all the time on this issue, and I don't know why.Read More

How are you? It's been a while. I am surprised to read this review. I had been reading only book reviews for some time, and to come upon this is a great relief. Well, anything happened that made you write this one? Just kidding, anyway an innovative idea really. Take care.

I went to a Bajaj dealer the other day to check out a Pulsar 150. Your review sums up the truth I guess. I am sure that next time I visit them to pay the money, I will have your points in mind.

I can understand. Yes, please read this one. This is a good book. Perhaps you may start with 'The Day of The Jackal' by the same author. Take care.
