Basant Nanda and Prasad Bodeupdi have written what is probably my favorite book on Object Oriented programming. PowerBuilder is now up to version 8, and this book was written based on version 5 - but interestingly enough, the concepts are sound, the writing is witty and well illustrated and the ...Read more

Roland Orzabal was then and is today Tears For Fears. Curt Smith was a gentle vocalist, with a sweet, high lilting voice - but Roland was the talent. This is their first post-breakup album for the boys from Bath, and does not come close to sounding like there is anything missing. The band con...Read more

this has interesting parallels with a Christian philosophy known as the 'laying on of hands', where elders in the church are commended to 'lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.' The parallels are interesting, as the force of inner faith must be present in both worlds.... i shouldn't wonde...r if the concepts are similar the way sowing and reaping is similar to kismet and karma.....so many branches from the tree of life.... hugs deaserRead More

There are enough lawyer shows on television to keep me content for some time. I love watching them, always have - ever since Paper Chase, which was on for me as a child, I have been hooked. I love watching lawyer movies as well, reading lawyer novels, and while I don't trust any lawyers at all -...Read more

HA!!! I knew there would be Matrix and Terminator people....I don't think Keanu's acting warrants a top five spot for the Matrix, although I did like the Run Silent, Run Deep aspects of it.... And Hey Nick, most people hated Dune...but it is definitely one of my favorite movies.... thanks f...or the reads....hehe deaserRead More
