Its very easy to think about gifts for a lady or your wife but its tough to think about gifts for men !! your count becomes very limited !! Your options become very restricted..either you get this or that...
But you can always use your imagination !! I always do. Here are a few pointers as to how I go forward as to finding the perfect gift for my husband.
Observation
One fundamental aspect of gifting your husband is that you should know him very well. Why am I stressing this because in a long term relationship it is an undefined rule that you take cared of each other and well share each other's things... etc etc .. the point is that in doing so you will notice what your better half likes or dislikes...
Observation helps a lot in selecting a good gift for a husband.
Stuff you can give
here are a few tips which I am sure many of you have already would say *''been there, done that''
1. If your man has a flair for fashion , you could give him a Jazzy T-shirt or a bright cravat which could go with one of his suits. Now many of my friends opt for Kurtas and pyjamas. There are some smart ones available in FabIndia(Koramangala)In Bangalore and in Bombay. You could browse there for more ideas. You could also get him a belt which he was eyeing or maybe a wallet which he needs. Then again if you are not sure you can take him on a shopping spree.. yes some men love shopping ... :):).. Let that be a date and a surprise as you cant surprise him with the gift.
A watch is also a good gift. Shoes are sometimes their prized possessions, so you could take a chance with that.
2. If your man is into music you could gift him with a collection of music albums. Make an attractive pack .. If you want to splurge, you could gift him with an MP3 Player or a Discman. Men always like electronic stuff.
3. For computer game buffs, a Game CD would be ideal.
4. You could also surprise him by cooking him his favourite dish.
5. If he drinks, you could gift him with his favourite bottle.
6. Books are again the best gifts. Mind you, be careful of his choice. Know his authors and then get him the latest book of his favourite author.
7. You could also give him Wallets, Planners, Digital dairy, a cell phone and a watch. Check out his preference of course without making him feel like he is under a microscope.:):)
8. If its winter where you stay, you could opt for leather jackets. If he is fond of hats you can gift him with a smart hat or nice and cozy pair of woolen mittens or a cap. A muffler would be very touching if you can knit it with your own hands... believe me that will be very much appreciated.. ( knitting a muffler is very easy by the way)
9. Flowers are cool too but I dont know many guys who would like flowers. There are some romantic guys who like flowers. There again its a matter of personality and choice.
10. The best gift would be you and finding quality time. Organizing some time alone .. away from kids and friends and family . Believe me it will be appreciated more than any gift. Dont depend on the guys to arrange things for you . They do it most of the time !! Do something for them in return. They will love you for it !!
11. If you are too lazy to go out side, this being a working day, you could concoct something interesting for him !! I leave that upto you ;). I am sure us gals are very enterprising !!!
12. And last but not the least is that all these things dont matter as long as you make him feel good and really appreciated. Men like to get pampered sometimes and well you can also surprise him if he likes surprises...
Tip : Whenever you think of a gift think about what he wants most. What he has been thinking to get recently and he had no time for it !! Go get it and its worth seeing the pleasant surprise on his face !!
Observation is the major key to pleasing your man !!! And we are good at it arent we ??? And it goes without saying that you can add lot of TLC and big hugs as an icing to your gift.
so have a gala time and enjoy yourselves my lady friends and yes cook up something special for your hubbies!!!
