If someone brings out the prblems facing the Indian Cicil Service you shouldn't condem it like you have done, reading your profile and then your review on this mivoe (bbok), I think you are one confused dude, you should be commending that someone had the guts to bring out the dark side off IAS>&g...t;.. Your review isn't appreciated as it is totally unhinged with utter BS (are you an IAS officer yourself??) maybe that would explain your disgust with this movie,,,,, To depict human behaviour is educating others not to repeat the same mistakes that some people indulge in... c.Read More

You forgot one of the recurrent themes in the serials and the present grandaddy of them all, which these days has even influenced the way our news channels report each and every case may it be factual or fiction: Yes I am referring to>>>>> KIDNAPPINGs arranged or carried out by fam...ily members, sitting through one of her serials is worse then being stuffed into an IRON MAIDEN or chinese torture, frankly I would choose the latter 2 if given aqn option. Surely our channels have got to improve and our herd mentality of blindly following one single person, pursuit or trend should stop, nice review she needs a blasting everytime one gets a chance to do it, cheers cRead More

Agatha Critisie - WHAT a Mystery, I have read this novel and quite enjoyed reading it, you rightly point out the uniqueness of the novel very well.... great read both the book and the review i.e. Agatha reminds me of a quote from Kipling A Woman's guess is much more accurate than a man's ce...rtainity. cheers c. It was a book written with a lot of foresight when one finishes it the reader gets the sense of the authors perceptiveness of what the future would be. It is one of the best books I have ever read. Like Aurthur C Clarke, George Orwell influenced the future in more ways through his books and hum...an behaviour. I also recommend that you read Animal Farm which is another classic. cheers cRead More

I was transported back to my own experience both 'BEFORE' & 'AFTER' symptoms of living in a hostel away from the trivial trappings of the daily grind. I went to similar boarding school near Madras located 14 kms from the nearest village, oh what bliss....and it was humoungous 4,500 students c...o-ed and totally residential, but the times I spent there were just amazing and the best days of my life. Hostel life made me the man I am today. I left that hostel after my Class x TO FINISH UP MY 12TH LIVING WITH my family in Delhi, I had a horrid time adjusting back and became a sort of a recluse (and even today when people ask me which school I attended as a wee boy ... The HOSTEL school wins everytime, One gets to learn from the differences apparent in each and every human being, a unique character in itself a living ENTITY. I sorely missed being in a hostel -- maybe i missed the camaraderie which i enjoyed in the hostel.. So naturally when I entered college it was off to the hostel again to regain my sense of belonging!! to a bunch of myraid people bought together by chance, in the most conductive enviornment with gining an education being the main Excuse to greak out... One does get to learn about various cultures families and then you make some friends who stand beside you no matter what happens V V Good Review, so I have to add you to my trusted list cause your reviews are fun and delightfully done, Write more cheerio c.Read More

Well I compare her to helen of troy, she has hte face to launch a thousand ship, but apart from that she can't act !! Except for TAAL she failed to impress me in any other of her movies. One assest she does have which most actresses of today lack is a thinking head on her shoulder and very good d...iction as well as vocab, (she was trying to study architecture if I ain;t mistaken so your solution for her acting woes is very very appropriate for her, she would do better as a talk show hostess but not of the kind which smriti irani for one hsts (yuccks) but something more GEN X, Good review and a brilliant solution for a woman who defintely needs a better image manager (you should approach her with your idea..lol) cheers c.Read More

A very well carafted, superbly structured and informative review on the atticates of interviews. I think the only thing you left out is how to get an interview in the first place (lol). Selling your self to the potenial employer is the hardest part and your points go a long way in helping a lo...t of people who don't want to get professional help, I belive that self confidence is the one's greatest asset to get anything in life. Nice review, I would watch anything featuring Shabana Azmi, she is a true thespian who can act out any role gelling into it as if she was born to do it, she is my ROBERT DE NIRO of Indian Cinema as he too can make you feel that he is just like the character he portrays in nearly all of his roles. ... It would have been better if you could have added an outline of the story. Overall a nice concise and honest review cheers C Read More

A great book and you did a magnficient job of raising the couriosity of many, many more who haven't read this book ( so take solace in taht fact) , they would probably associate Love Story to the movie rather then the book, but the book takes the cake anyday. There is a lot of pain in love and eri...ch sagal does a magnificient job of showing this emotion so alien to the concept of love in peoples mind, whose concept of love is everlasting happiness and contentment but such is not the case to have loved and lost is better then having never loved at all... I read this book after reading his book titled THE CLASS which is the only other novel I like by him you should check it out. The ony thing which I can't tolerate is the fact that the ever philandering Indian Movie Directors fliched the line 'LOVE MEANS NEVER HAVING TO SAY SORRY'. arrgggh can\t stand that slur on the book but in hindsight it shows the impact this book has had on those who have read it. await your comments cheers cRead More

I think the choice of the books and the authors you have chosen represent the later half (maybe 3/4) of the 20th century, CLASSICS all by author(esess) in their prime but I'll restrict this comment to 2 books specially. Rebacca is chillling but offers amazing insights on how we judge ourselves or... are judged for not being somebody else.... But LIfe always does bring about strange twists of Fate (like any N. Shyamalan Movie) to shock you out of your inertia... Foutainhead:Ah the love hate relationship one has with Ayn Rand's works are just amazing to see reflected in others as well as ones own development in life, the first time you read the book (and help you gods if you're in school or college - AN IMPRESSIONABLE AGE!!!)you love the concept of a singular person *an island* , it is morally and ethically appealing to you but as you start working you find it tougher to mantain your standards and then the hate begins, well I still like this one in particular, Mankind always sets standards and men/ women are judged by the life they live and their only immortality lies in what they leave behind THE WRITTEN WORD.... the 5 books you have chosen share that stage definitely.... cheers c Read More

I often remisence on my college flat when my bin was full of empty maggi packs and bread!! (I used to loved to have it with bread and lots of ketchup (yuks).... well those days are long gone as I swear I have had my fill of MAGGY for the rest of my life, though these days I prefer Top RAMEN SMOODLES... to Maggy, The Aussie Maggy is better then the Indian One I know. but it was nice to remember (shuddering) when I was too broke along with my roomie to have anything else. nice read cheers mate cRead More

Bhaskar, A good review extolling the features og g-mail but I was a bit dissappointed that you didn't add a couple of things in this review that every potential g-mail user should know. All the mails that you send and receive are monitered for specific words which then effect the way ur search ...results, e.g you write a lot about 'travel' this word will then be forwarded to advertisers in the travel industry and mark you down as a possible canditate for receiving travel related offers, I for one wouldn't like to have my mail be scrutentized by anyone, it's the last vestige of privacy I have on the net and it isn't ethical for gmail to give this information or share it with their partners or advertisers. The things you mention about not logging off are also offered by yahoo mail for one and they too provide 30 MB of space. At least the other free mail servicess give u an option of sharing the information you give out with others this isn't possible with gmail. A consumer should have a CHOICE. It would have been a great review if you had added this info in it. Anyways cheers cRead More
