Agree with your concerns, I think one off car from the lot has to undergo this kind of a problem, do you still recommend prospective buyers like me for a FIAT Punto 1.3MJD. Do you have any issues faced related to the engine department. Kindly confirm

. The bike is running very slow in traffic(1st gear = up to 10 km/hr). If I rise then heavy noise from engine. Noise is not good for engine so I won’t rise. But It can not move faster than other brands bike (they are urging me to go fast. Why the company has did the bike with poor low end torque.? W...hat is the reason for it? (Answer): They have installed five gears for the 125 cc engine and they are not short ratio gear box like HH glamour, they are taller gearing, the same problem should not be encountered in Yamaha YBR125 which has 4 speed all up gearbox. 2. Why the neutral is kept between 1 st and 2 nd gear ? Any good reason from company specialist? (Ans) That is Yamaha's style and that gear arrangement is there since the day of it's two strokes and it is a proven arrangement which is followed by other biking companies as well. No issues about it. 3. Why Mileage is less 55 Km/Lt., how much you r getting ?2 nd service done. purchased date march 2011. (Ans) Frankly speaking we should be getting a max of 50-55kpl when ridden softly. Yamaha are not famous for making high mileage bikes, they make it for reliability and user satisfaction. They dont have unwanted things like twin spark, four valves, exhaustec and all, simple engine design and old blueprint. thats why low mileage compared to pulsars.... 4. The Petrol tank got dent/depression by falling down on tree while parking. It makes me so worry. Can you tell me how to repair the dent/depression? What type of procedure the mechanic use to do this ? (Ans): Can be done by the Yamaha SVC. they deal with everything, just consult the people from where you purchased your bike. Whatever issues you are facing can be dealt and rectified easily in a day or two, pl be patient and talk to the SVC for help. I am in Hosur. Can you tell any mechanic to repair dent in Hosur or Bangalore. Thanks.Read More

rbharathbabu | Jul 26, 2011 04:32 PM Y6maha SS 125’s slow moving (10-20 km/h 1 & 2nd gear) in traffic. Can you tell me why this is not with other bikes. All bike has good speed in 10 -20 KM/Hr, 1st - 2nd gear. But not with our bike. (Ans): Yamaha SS 125 gear box has fire gears, it has taller gea...ring, meaning you can revv more than other similar bikes in its class. so optimum speed for that is 0-15km/h in 1st gear, raise it well beyond 3500RPM in first gear, engage second gear and raise it till 4000 Rpm, after that in third, fourth and fifth can be engaged at 4000-4500RPM, use tachometer and ride.. 1. But my SS 125 engine goes off when I ride slight up-hill road with pillion. I ask the pillion to get down and walk away few meters then sit back. This is case is not happened with single ride. (Ans)In SS 125 for steep rises and hill roads, use second and first gear only when with pillion, other bikes like pulsar can move in second but for glady it is strictly in first gear only. As it has taller gearing, you need to use some techniqiue or style to ride the bike by engaging a customized clucth throttle release mechanism so that it pulls, it does have the power, you need to practice it, practice when you ride solo in steep areas well.. 2. About Gear shift: My problem with gear shift. It takes two click in single shift. ( shifting -->stop with click sound --> again shifting == produce gear change) (Ans) Not exactly able to pinpoint the issue, how much has your bike run now, check the engine oil level from the dip stick, Engage full clutch when engaging the gears, See: Clutch cable, Engine oil freshness, gear shifting style all depend on the life and longevity of the gear box. Show it to your service center and find a friendly guy and ask him to take a ride,, sit as a pillion and instruct him to ride the bike in a way so that problem will be encountered and ask him to inspect then and there//Read More

1. ''This bike is stopping when driving in rain. even a small water stagnation on road make the bike stop abruptly.'' (A): Problem with throttle body being dirty, ask the SVC guys, they will attend to it in a day. 2. For chain lubrication they are charging 160 Rs and that is very expensive? (A): ...Use SAE-90 Gear oil for the chain as per the user manual. Read More

Sir, you have used the car for 10,000ksm already, the Wiper issue and glove box rattle issue are very trivial. I think for a car for it's price it's no surprise to encounter such issues, anyways it's mass produced and not hand made like a phantom..

Man ! Your review has got genuine information, Existing 220 owners dont seem to accept R15 as a competitor and give useless remarks such as bike is small, engine capactiy is lesser, tires are thin, weight is less, instead of giving a genuine comment about the bike, one 220 owner is saying its useles...s crap by having a test ride of just half a kiloemter in the 15, except R15 owners, pls avoid reading reviews written by 220 owners, they write reviews without having the fullest knowledge about R15, little do they know that this machine was designed in the stables of the race bike pioneer R1, how much they would have tested this motor before giving a go-ahead for production, 220 owners do not know all this and compare their piece of metal which was designed here with a machine that was designed by race specialists...i feel pity for 220 owners. R15 is pure racing concept bike, 220 is a street bike, there is always a line drawn between the two.Read More
