Hello Bob, its about 9000 km only now. First service only at 10,000 km. Shall post service experience after that. Car so far is trouble free.

Sorry to know that Nissan service is bad in Ahmedabad. I own a micra that has done 8500 km now. Now waiting for the first service. I am at Kochi, Kerala. I don’t know how it will be at Kochi! But regarding the car, so far I am very happy. Regarding mileage - I get consistently 16-17 km/L with AC on ...all the time (on full tank to full tank checking.)Read More

Thanks for the comment. Basically I did not test drive Punto due to Fiat's poor track record in India and there was no intention to buy a fiat. Feed back I got was from my friend who owns a Punto. He too felt the ride and handling of Punto was good. He reported poor fuel efficiency figures for the p...etrol Punto. I think diesel has better fuel efficiency.
Regarding performance of polo/fabia I agree that its ok in initial gears but as you go up they feel short of breath especially while driving in highway. If we can keep micra's rpm above 2000 (by shifting to a lower gear or by pressing throttle ) micra gives good performance compared to the other three cylinder engines (polo/fabia). Hello I am here for an update of my previous review - ’’1500 km in my micra’’. Now I have crossed 3000 km and am very happy with my choice. Some clarifications at the outset; I got a few queries regarding why I did not consider Maruti Swift. I agree that its a great car to drive but I disliked the b...uild quality and overall finish, especially cheap plastics inside. Also swift was due for a new model in March 2011. Now coming back to micra. What essentially I was looking was a QUALITY car and micra is exactly that so far. No rattling, no hiccups.. nothing. It is very easy to drive too. Let me clarify one more thing, when I was writing the first review I had mentioned that stereo was only average. Later I found that volume of the rear speakers was minimum when it was delivered to me. Now after adjusting the rear volume I feel stereo is good. But I miss a USB port. A word of caution about my mileage description of micra. My running is roughly 25% in city and 75% in highway. I noted that micra gives 13-14 km/l in city and 18-19km/l in highway with ac on all the time.. Overall my mileage now is 16-17 km/l with ac. Overall figure is full tank to full tank figure and there is an error of 1.5 to 1.7 km/l if we follow the trip computer in micra. (This error is verified thrice by me by full tank to full tank method.) So simple way is -Check the mileage as said by the trip computer and reduce 1.5 or 1.7 km/l from it to know the REAL mileage. Even then I am happy with micra’s mileage. The biggest negatve I found was micra’s low ground clearance. Larger bumps especially those that shaped odd touches your car unless you are careful. When you are careful and able to slow down, its ok. Overall I am happy with my choice . It indeed gets a lot of attraction while on road. Shall post further updates later.Read More

Thanks for the comments. I did not test drive punto even though it has the best looks on road. The feed back I got was -it has a weak engine and gives poor fuel efficiency. But but.... honestly I have no direct experience.
Regarding service of micra-I booked micra from EVM, Kochi and the sales expe...rience was good. First service is only at 10,000 km and hence no idea about it. They told me first service would cost me Rs1200/-.(That also means there is no free service at all!!).Read More
