I recently received my Super Value Titanium card from SCB. The bank claims that the card user is entitled to 5% cash back on transactions of over Rs. 200.00 across all petrol pumps (Waiver of 2.5% fuel surcharge + 2.5% actual cash back) and across all telecom service providers in the country....Read more

Very good comparison of various co- branded airline cards available today. And there is no doubt that the 2 citibank gold cards you have mentioned are of great value. Perhaps you could have also inculded ABN Amro smart gold card in your comparison. Although it's not an airline co branded card but st...ill one can redeem his/her points across any airline for any destination anywhere in the world. So what it means is that you are not stuck with only one airline. But anyway, it was an excellent review. Keep writing..Read More

I have accounts in both Citibank and HDFC. Never had a problem as far as the bank accounts are concerned. I use to have an account with ICICI, Sec-18, Noida but closed the account 3 years ago when I started noticing the drop in the quality of service being provided by them. Their ATMs dont have cash... or the they don't work. If you go at the counter you have queues as long as the annacondas of latin America! Worse is if you deposit cash at the counter, the same gets credited in your account after atleast 4 hours... What more can I say about this Bank... It sucks BIG time..Read More

I would not even like to pay the 'nominal' fee to get it converted into life time free! Simply beacuse there are other banks who don't charge even the nominal fee.. Last year I got the waiver on anuual fee when I threatened them that I will be cancelling the card. They agreed immediately and now the... renewal is again due and I will repeat what I did last year! All the credit card issuing banks are blood suckers and suck our blood all the year round. We cannot argue with them on the interest they charge.. But yes you can and you must bargain on annual fee and bring it down to ZERO!Read More

Well I have this card since last 2 years and there have been no problems. The service is good.. And yes, I did get about 15 calls on my mobile requesting me to pay Rs. 3500.00 so that they could make it free for life. I have refused to pay coz I know like last year, I will be able to get a waiver... on annual fee this year too. Incase they refuse, then its goodbye. But I know they will not refuse.. It does not make sense to pay Rs. 3500.00. Its sheer waste of money! Cheers Akshay :)Read More

Hi, This is the first time I am hearing such a case. This is shocking especially if you are a Suvidha Account holder (which I am). Although you have the option of doing transactions over the counter (at Bank's branches), you are debited Rs.100.00 for every transaction done over the counter. So yo...u dont have any choice but to use ATM. But having said that, I have been using ATMs since 1990 and I never deposit cash in the ATM unless I get an acknowledgement in the form of a print out. There have been many instances where the machine has warned me that there is a printer problem and in those cases I prefer not to deposit the cash. Unfortunate Citi turned out to be Shitty for you. I have had no problems with them so far.. Cheers Akshay.Read More

Hi, I was facing the same problem of getting the statements late. I kept the card for 8 months and 5-6 times I got my statements after the payment due date! Mind you I live in Delhi and not in a remote area of the country. ICICI Bank is only interested in adding more and more customers. And on...ce you become their customer, no one is bothered to look after your problems. Just stay away from ICICI Bank.Read More

Hi, I think you are a very lucky person if you have never faced any major problems with Dishnet. In our our Area i.e in Noida, Dishnet (now called VSNL) DSL services sucks. Akshay Khanna.

Ram, Your review is very informative. I too had the same phone and same problems which you faced. There is nothing great about this phone except the camera and the display. Cheers. Akshay.

There is nothing new in this. The banks just do not want to say bye to their customers. I have had the same experience with ICICI Bank and HSBC. In the case of HSBC, I use to cut the card and send it to them. But they use to send a new one. This happened 14 times in one year!! Finally after a year... I did not pay the annual fees, so they had no choice but to cancel my card. Anyway I think you should have written the review under the Credit Card Section.Read More

Hey Ankit, I am a bit confused about which phone you are using. Is it the Moto E365 or Nokia 6610?? You seem to love both of them very much. Anyway, Ever since I have switched over from Moto E365 to Nokia 6610i, I have not faced even a single problem.

No Ankit. I was not at all in a hurry. As I have already informed that after the upgrade, I started facing the same problem again. Since I had purchased the phone from Dubai, the warranty was not valid for India. Moto people had clearly informed me that if the problem comes up again, I will have to... pay for the software upgrade. There is nothing great about the connectivity part you are talking about. Now a days many phones have that feature. Infact my current phone (Nokia 6610i) does not even require any cable to connect to my laptop. It has IR. The only plus Moto E365 had was 65K colour big size LCD and a good camera. But I could not afford to shell out Rs. 450/- every other day for the software upgrade. So it had become useless for me. Best of luck to the person who has purchased it!! I would also like to advice people, never to purchase any electronic gadget if you are travelling abroad. If the gadget carries warranty valid in India, fine no problem. Otherwise you might end up having problems like I did. Anyway the prices in Dubai are now almost similar to what we have in India.Read More

I could not agree with Cedric more. I faced exactly the same problems which Cedric faced. Could not access my phone book, could not read or compose any SMS. I purchased the phone from Dubai in Jan 04. And last week, it started giving me software problems. I took the phone to Moto's service ce...Read more
