I am thinking of becoming a CM member. I must appreciate the perseverance of sales guys of CM. They are very pushy. But is the food at CM so costly. Plus is there no bath tub in studio apartments? This is not acceptable. Pls let me know.

I have purchased i20 era in june 2010. let me tell you. pls do not buy i20. its not a good car. if you want to waste your money, then atleast do not buy era model, go for magna. if you have budget constraint you can get swift vxi around the price of era.

I completely agree to your reviews. i20 is not a good car. AC sucks, Dealers suck big time. hyundai is completely non-responsive to complaints of its customers. The bottomline is - In India, if you want to buy a car it has to be a Maruti,.else go for costly ones like Toyota and Honda.

interesting comments on my review. yesterday i went to one of the hyundai dealers service station. The advisor there told me that lot of people are complaining about the AC and the solution is they fit an additional condenser which solves the problem to an extent. 1. The most important cause of concern in i20 is A/C. The cooling is just not upto the mark. Especially if you are in cities where it gets very hot in summers, the cooling won't suffice.Also the structure of AC vents is such that all the air blown gets blocked by the steering wheel without reachi...ng the driver. So if you are going to drive the car urself, this could be a problem.
2. I wont say i20 a bad vehicle just because of the AC problem alone. I will anyways get my car checked to see if this is a problem only in my vehicle. But if you read reviews on internet on i20 AC, you will find that many customers are complaining about it. May be the reason is i20 is built for european markets and since in UK, it does not get as hot as it gets in India, Hyundai may have purposely compromised on AC cooling intensity.The only reason they sell this car in India is because its manufactured in chennai.
3. One most important thing you should consider is price. i20 is atrociously costly (given the fact that its a hatchback). The era model compares with swift vxi and makes sense from a cost perspective. However if you go above era and choose to buy magna, the cost on road is Rs.50k more. i.e 5.85 lac in mumbai on road. At 5.85lacs you can get swift dzire lxi model which is the base model in dzire. you can get a music system for 5k fitted on to it. If you choose to buy i20 sportz or asta model, my suggestion would be you go for Dzire vxi. Dzire VXI comes is a loaded car- ac,power strng,all 4 power windows,inbuilt stereo.the cost of dzire vxi is Rs.6.18 lacs on road mumbai registration.
Bottomline, if you are commercially concious, only the era model makes sense, at best magna. moment you choose to go for i20 sportz or asta, it does not become a commercially attractive proposition as you can get swift Dzire in less than that. (Dzire is a 3box car, a sedan at the end of the day). So only era model makes sense commerciallyRead More

I agree. TATA makes worst cars. If you want to buy a TATA car, buy the cheapest model and sell if off (if you can sell it) or donate it after a couple of years. TATAs should be banned from selling cars in India. Shame on TATAs for making hopeless cars. You rightly pointed out pvgeorge. Indica is ok for long drives only cos of the space it provides. and hence its good for taxi's. owning a one is not a good idea especially when you have maruti's and satro's that give unmatched driving pleasure and experience

Club Mahindra sales people are experts in fooling you. One of the sales lady told me that i can become a member by paying rs.18000 and go to goa during peak season and after coming back i can cancel my membership. they will go to any extent to fool you. dont get in to the trap.
