I purchased Voltas Vertis Elite AC in April 09 for around Rs. 26000. I chose Voltas over Samsung and LG. Within 2 months of purchase, I started facing issues. The cooling was not proper at all. Also the indicator panel was malfunctioning. It was not showing proper indication on mode, timer etc. Voltas ACs are costlier than samsung or LG but they are technically worst products.
The AC does not cool at all. Even after switching the AC on for half an hour at 18 degrees, there is hardly any cooling. Other AC at this temp would give a chilling effect in the room.
I heard from my friends that Samsung ACs are the best. My appeal to all readers: Pls do not waste your money by buying Voltas. Voltas (TATA) is a hopeless product. indian companies are really bad at manufacturing. The best ACs in market are: Hitachi, carrier, Samsung, O General.
