I bought the Indica DLE in January 2007 here from Guinea Motors, Patna. It is on the threshold of 5000 Kms.
The basic advantage of this car over all the the others in this segment is it being a diesel car. More power, spaciousness , chilling AC , low running cost (due to both low cost of diesel & good mileage) makes it best for frequent highway runs.
Where it has advantages of being diesel run , the same feature makes it an overall better than average car . Poor pickup in AC , noise, vibrations are its drawbacks.
I went to a 300km ride to a town in Bihar. You know of the BIHAR roads! Suffering from severe shocks too this car did work, and that too very nicely, with full AC on & this car made us feel chilly even in the scorching heat of June. The suspensions are really beautiful in execution. this car has stood by the test on Bihar roads. The same journey broke my backbone in maruti 800 & omni.
From my own experience of various AC , non-AC , city , highway drives; the MILEAGE:--
AC City :- 12
AC Highway :- 15
non-AC City :- 14
non-AC Highway :- 17
