Great list! Almost like a review of my life's musical moments.... Here are a few more, I don't think if you've heard of them or not. 1. Ladkiyon humse na uljho, button daba denge... tumhaare pyaar ka bhonpu hum baja denge. (This one had Rahul Roy for sure, heroine yaad nahin. Most prob...ably Karishma Kapoor.) 2. Tu jo mera yaar baney...rumba-rumba....rumba-rumba.... Teri meri khoob chhaney...rumba-rumba....rumba-rumba.... (This had Pratibha SInha and some random guy. Sung by Asha Bhonsle!!) 3. Bharatpur lutt gaya, ho mori amma.... (from English babu, desi mem....Sonali Bendre broke my heart with this cheap number.) 4. Kyun paisa paisa karti hai.... (This is a very recent one...and surprisingly, very popular one. But i think very few songs in the last 5 years can claim to this rare combination of utterly insulting lyrics with absolutely bad musical arrangement, to go with a horrible picturization on screen.) hey Nikhil... i saw the movie and i liked it in general but ur review does raise some relevant points...mostly the logical lacunae in the film. Good observations, all of them. But still, I feel, the basic concept of the film...how being in touch with ur history (and the history of right path, in ...particular) actually helps u in achieving impossible goals, is never touched upon in ur review. And for me, the film scores hugely on the concept level...story level, yeah...it had some huge gaps. Anyways, nice review....keep them coming. - Varun Read More

Nice balanced review and an impressive choice of words to narrate the plot. Totally agree with ur views on the bizarre ending, made even more bizarre by the judge's acquittal of Vidyadhar. Keep writing. - Varun

Many people feel, rightly so, that Indian Film industry has matured, become more open to newer subjects with non-conventional heroes, and is exploring emotions seemingly non-commercial, for the last few years. But how many of us realize that the single person most responsible for all this mindbo...Read more

In this season of 'Yuck-een' and 'Pa-hell-i' comes another multistarrer Dud..uhmm..err..I mean Dus, and once again, you ask yourself - 'Why did I trust the promos and not the common sense?' A bad rip-off of famous TV show '24', Dus comes across as a confused jelly of emotions, action, and min...Read more

“Nazdeek ke faayde se pahle door ka nuksaan soch lena chahiye”, quips Sarkaar to shut the mouth of a Tamilian gangster, cheekily called called Silver Mani, and you know that history is in the making, once again, through the passionately indulgent storytelling of Ram Gopal Verma. And ...Read more

When Amol Palekar, the one-time king of simplicity, decided to 'simply' do away with his understated style and take the 'commercial' centerstage by sandstorm, by making a personal magnum-opus cum folk-tale with SRK and Rani as leads, one would have expected a grand story if not a masterpiece. You have banged the nail on its head and I must shout, like the whole cast in that stupid scene, 'Tod Shogan, Tod..!' . The film disappoints in all departments except the music and acting. Keep writing...and let's save the gullible audience from becoming the 'land-scape goat'.

Parineeta (The Married Woman) was riding on some great expectations, Chopra's last was Munnabhai and Saif's was Hum Tum, but once again the weight of expectations has marred the joy of watching a period-drama, this one set in the Calcutta of the 60's. Debutante Director, Pradeep Sarkar, had chos...Read more
