catchlokesh, have you subscribed to Dish? I have been using it since it was launched. I paid 7,800.00 at that time. Why would you want to give it negative points? I tried to be honest in my comment, and I wouldn't have recommended it in 2007. In 2008 I bought Big TV as well, and felt they took for ...a bigger ride. I am still using DishTV. So please be specific in how the product is bad, I am curious, so I can learn from you too.Read More

If you are indeed planning to buy BIG TV, just make sure that sign the forms only after confirming that all the channels you expect to be able to watch, are actually available, and that you have some kind of documentary evidence given to you regarding that. I did not do that and so do not have anyt...hing to wave in their faces. Don't let what happened to me, happen to any of you.Read More

You got good service and things work well which makes me happy for you. In my case the experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, because I jut bought an STB and my dealer promised I'd get to see all channels, repeat.. ALL CHANNELS for Rs.1990/-. but now that is not happening and I'm havin...g to pay Rs.25 for each pay channel I want to watch.... I am also a dealer selling machinery, but I make sure the customer is made well aware of the total cost of ownership, including service charges, repair times, prices of spare parts, the reason why spares fail, and the need to learn proper method of using the equipment. All this is just plain decency when giving product to a customer. I have been a Reliance customer since the initial launch of DAPO scheme, I own ten mobile connections, two data connections and one FWP. But I'll still tell you that these guys are not worth buying from. :)Read More

Sivadas, I am not an employee, nor do I intend to be. I am just another man on the street who gets to be taken for a ride by nice looking and nice sounding products offered by big and small companies. I am just pragmatic enough to appreciate a good thing, and get upset about the way people cheat m...e by not being that honest.Read More

You had a reception problem, which was the fault of the technician, and you could not get a help line connection, which could be normal with BIG TV, as I have experienced myself. It took 18 minutes for my friendly helpline buddy to tell me he does not know how I am to use a scratch card. But all th...at is individual failures. The product need not be bad mouthed just because of that. The quality and range of programmes is as good as all the other service providers. Thanks for the info on AIRTEL too.Read More

They offered me a STB for Rs.1990 with all channels free for a year. They said if I paid Rs.200 extra I'd get three sports channels additional free. Being the trusting kind, I paid Rs.4, 000.00 and bought two, one for my home in lieu of my existing DISH TV, and one more for my shop. Nice a...Read more

Rishi... the car feels slightly heavy, but as you don't really want to carry it on your shoulders, that is not a pain. City driving is an ease, for at least for me. In Cochin you have lots of nice looking traffic lights to gawk at, and three row traffic trying to become four. There are also these ...great pot holes that are not visible to you because you cannot see the first ten feet from your low seat. Maneuverability is great and it helps on tight streets. Maybe same for other cars too, because I have no experience there. The power of the 1.6 helps too.Read More

Regarding reliability I guess all Fiat vehicles are reliable. Fuel consumption will depend on your driving pattern, the traffic congestion, and the speeds you attempt. Fiat diesel they say is highly fuel efficient. Fiat cars I think are designed for the driver so driving comfort will be there, but y...ou need to compare and confirm if what you perceive as comfort and what the specific manufacturer offers tally. I'd suggest you prioritize your needs once once again - FE, comfort, reliability, and how much you are willing to pay for each of these. Buy for yourself and for the ride comfort of your family. Back seat travel can be a pain if the seating and suspension is not proper, so confirm on that aspect too. Fiat cars are as I said, good, but assume the worst and consider whether the servicing costs justify your ownership experience.Read More

Fiat cars are said to be sturdy and nice to drive. I loved to drive the Herald, it was heavy, clung to the road, had power and the gear shifting was a wonderful feel. But everybody says nowadays Fiat service is awful and so buying a fiat is a mistake. But people here have given good reviews a...Read more

I test drove a Palio Stile Sport yesterday, and loved it! I own a 1998 Matiz that is a breeze to drive, but am now looking for a new small car because the Matiz is getting old and a bit rattly. I also have a Scorpio, since 2003. That too is a great vehicle. Have done more than 100K on both. Honest...ly, I don't know anything about mechanics or such stuff of automobiles. I just know how to drive and I enjoy driving fast and driving rough. No pausing for potholes, frequent gear changes, no looking at mileage.... just make sure my car is spic and span, like wash every day if possible, vacuum at least once a week, take it to the service centre on the required days, etc. My first feel on the Palio Sport was great. The throttle rev promised lots of reserve power on third for quick overtaking. I need it for getting ahead of those regular sluggards on the roads. I drove it only for about one Km and that too on a tar road, so I cannot honestly say much. I'd have loved to take adrive on a really bad patch, but it was a new car, and not even mine. One bad thing I noticed was a person seated in the rear, leaning back erect, would hit his head on the roof interior. There was no time for really looking thru as I had to leave. Maybe after I buy a Stalio, I may post my experiences here Read More

I bought a reciever and dish three years back when it was launched, for around 8, 000/-.As with any other corporate packaged product, you get some goodies and quite a few baddies. In '98 I bought my Matiz because the reviews suggested good performance, ie., driveability, speed, space, power, etc. It was a Santro or the Matiz. Advices suggested Santro, but I felt I wanted a Matiz and went for a base model SD. I was happy, and still am. I have a Scorpio too, and on the h...Read more
