A reading experience Angels & Demons - Dan Brown
Your review was good, Sajitha. Infact better than the book. But, I disagree with you on the book - I didn't like the book at all. But, your review really shows how much you liked the book! Great going!

Life is Puzzle. Crack it after Death Five People You Meet in Heaven, The - Mitch Albom
Nice review. One point, though. How can you say his life was not adventurous? He was a part of a war, he fought bravely, he lost a leg in that war! I mean, what else do you need to make your life more adventurous?

Hot melting chocolate and crunchy pieces of almonds and cashew nuts! Does that make your mouth water? Then, you should definitely pick up Cadbury Fruits and Nuts this very moment. Ragoo's is at a not-so-prominent place and thus hidden from the public eye. One has to taste the salads at Ragoo's to know how they are. Dishes one must try at Ragoo's : Any salad and especially Green Coral sala. There is one starter dish called tangy potato (or something similar sounding)...Read more

Impressive debut
(Updated Sep 28, 2005 06:21 PM)
Music director Shantanu Moitra has made a stunning debut with his album Parineeta. His style is very impressive. The album has a good mixture of songs - romantic, sad and fun marriage songs. All the singers do justice to the music and the lyrics. Don't download the songs,, go buy the CD! ;-) The...Read more
Over hyped Catcher in the Rye, The - Salinger
Thanks for replying Neha. I have always had trouble discussing Da Vinci Code with people. The moment I say 'I didn't like that book', people pounce on me as if that was the best book ever written. Same with 'catcher in the rye.' So, just wanted to know what you thought of that book.
I have one question for both of you, PrimitiveLyric and Neha. Did you like 'Da Vinci Code?'
Thanks yet again. I really did miss the whole point totally. Can you please explain how it is about disillusionment? Can you elaborate why you liked this book? Why don't you write a review so that I will understand the book better? As I said, if you liked the book, then I am glad you didn't waste... my time like I did. I guess I shouldn't waste time on books like these. Read More
Thanks for the comments Neha. I clearly say in the review that 'I didn’t like this book probably because I am not American. ' So, there is no complaint. I know the author didn't write the book for me, an Indian. But, thats not a justification for writing pathetically. You say it's brillian...tly written? Well, good for you then. There are a lot of other ways to learn American culuture, but for me, reading this book if not one of them! And know what? A forum which I visit has a majority of Americans. And they didn't like the book because they found the langauge irritating! It's because of books like these that we get a totally wrong picture of the outside world.Read More
Not for me Five People You Meet in Heaven, The - Mitch Albom
Thanks once again. I think I do say in my review why I don't like the book. 'Since I am not much into non-fiction, I didn’t like it.' Apart from this I do talk about the story and the writing. But, I guess I was not clear enough. I will keep your comments in mind.
Thanks for the comments. I didn't want to really delve into it out of choice.
Better as a short story Namesake, The - Jhumpa Lahiri
Hi PrimitiveLyric, thanks for stopping by. Well, if you have read Lahiri's first book, you would have known what I meant by a short story. Her first book is a collection of short stories which are between 50 to 100 pages. In my opinion, the story of Gogol could have been told in half the size that L...ahiri used. Thats my opinion. And I do know not many people agree with me.Read More

The five people you meet in heaven It's not the kind of book I would buy. I read it because it was available in the library. The theme is innovative. This is the only Stephen King book I have read so far and I didn't like it even a bit. I used to read a lot of discussions on King's novels, I have seen people who are hard core fans of King. This is one of the most over hyped books I have read. The only reason why I picked up this book was the hype surrounding it. The book is very small and one can finish it really fast.
