The show ends with the FAB5's final thought on the SG's performance on his first night as a stylish straight guy and what he should do to maintain his new and improved look. The reason the show works is because it has a heart. The relationships between the fab5 and the straight guys become so close... by the end of the show. One SG even cries and most of them don't want the FAB5 to leave. It's really touching towards the end and will make people see gaymen in a new light. One that is positive and respectful. I've had enough with ppl gay bashing and using religion to justify their hate crimes.I have nothing but sympathy for homophobes who are missing out on this amazing show which is ultimately about PEOPLE (irrespective of their sexuality) BONDING and if u watch closely you will find that the show is for and about HUMANITY. I give this show A+ for being funny, hip, original and most importantly...substantial. There is far too much crap on tv these days! CHEERS QUEERS! ANYBODY WHO READ ALL THAT DESERVES A PAT ON THE BACK! THANKYOU AND PLEASE COMMENT.... Read More

and lastly Ted Allen (FOOD& WINE CONNOISEUR): Worked for the Esquire magazine where he was co-author of the 'Things a Man Should Know' column, Ted was also the senior editor and restaurant critic with Chicago magazine where he wrote stories for the dining department and interviewed various no...table ppl in the Culinary Industry. He's very knowledgeable and extremely bright...definitely knows his stuff. His recipes are usually not well received on the show but I do give him props for being such a good sport. He is extremely charming and quickwitted. The breakdown of the show: The SHOCK AND AWE (the first 10-min): where the 5 first walk-in to the SG's house and assess/criticize the living/ eating/ grooming/ dressing situation. Some of the show's funniest moments lie in this part of the show. The SHOPPING: Each member of the fab 5 gets some alone time shopping with the SG for clothes/ furniture/ Food items. Kyan takes them to the salon where they get treated to all kinds of spa goodies...the manicure/pedicure, waxing (for some Robin williams' clones with serious backhair problems), dermabrasion ...the works..you name it! There are freeze frames for various different tips throughout the show. The event is usually planned, whether it be a house party or a gallery opening...everything is carefully laid out for the SG, from clothes to using the right hair products for the night. After the make-better is over the fab 5 say their byes and head back to their fabcave( as i like to call it) where they perch on their sofa and sip colorful cocktails as they watch the SG get ready for the event. They cheer him on when he's heading the right way( applying hairproducts the right way and shaving with the grain and NOT against it or preparing food etc.) and clench their teeth if he's reverting back to his old ways. There are very many times when the SGs screw up significantly but all is well that ends well. The girlfriends and wives are ecstatic with the results (the Read More

Okay people, lf you don't already know about this summer's super hit show (11 episodes aired so far) then you obviously know NOTHING about pop culture... that's okay we can work with that. The premise of the show is five gay style gurus making over...sorry ''making-better'' (as they call it) a s...Read more

nicely done! just wanna point out 'Pride and Prejudice' was written by Jane Austen (not C. Bronte) another famous 18th century female novelist who's written some of the wittiest and brilliantly satirical fictions of all time....

How could u not like the most adorable gay guy on earth..Carson is by far the best part of the show...His witty retorts are what made the show this successful...The whole point of him hitting on str8 guys is to break the ice ...or bridge the gaps between the gays and str8s...imagine if the fab 5 wer...e all str8...there would be no fun in watching the show because it doesn't create the obvious tension that exists between the str8 guys and gay guys and when he makes those silly remarks he is pushing them to see how they can tackle it ...I think the show is brilliant although it portrays them to be a little superfcial (every brand name is emphasized on the show) They have to realize that not every str8 man can afford Roberto Cavalli...but I do give them props for being sensitive with the str8s and the str8s for attempting to bond with the gays.Oh yeah good review...and I too think Kyan is FINE!Read More

great review with lotsa constructive criticism... but there have been bigger and better movies made in the past with the same concept like 'Abhimaan' and more recently 'Saathiyaa' which had better direction, music and most importantly MUCH better acting... (Sharukh was excruciatingly annoying throu...ghout the movie and rani..well let's just say she didn't just use make-up, she abused it) This movie was a doomed project from the start, shamelessly copied its predecessor (saathiyaa) and to make matters worse they cast rani in the same role but but made he a wee bit richer! how totally lame!Read More

hey! thanx for writing a great review about toronto.I live here and I believe that there's no greater city in the world than the T dot . Due to the recent outbreak of SARS this great city has had to face great adversities due to little tourism this summer, when in reality our amazing healthcare offic...ials have made sure that SARS is forever gone.Toronto has faced so much bad publicity this year that a lot of the attractions that you mentioned suffered great losses this summer. So please come to toronto (everyone), it's a great city with wonderful ppl and lots to do...the nitelife here is simply amazing ....Read More

However I don't recommend 'Dil Se' which was a pointless debacle of a movie with that stammering retard ShaRukh and a diappointing Manisha.I don't even think Mani was on the sets of this flick let alone direct , cuz it's highly unimaginable that had he been there the movie would have turned out to b...e the way it did! Definitely a blunder on Mini's part...but all great men get clumsy sometimes...Read More

You should definitely rent out 'Anjali', a story about a middleclass family that's trying to cope with their mentally-ill 3 year old daughter. If you liked Keerthana's depiction of Amudha in Kannathil...then you'll love shamilee's (a 3yr old) portrayal of the mentally-ill child in 'Anjali'. It's on...e of the most notable movies of the 90's by Mr.ratnam.Definitely worth a watch. I also read your review on Saathiya and I totally recommend 'Alaipayuthey' by Mani ratnam the original film remade in hindi as Saathiya which is 10* better than Saathiya in terms of cinematography, direction and on-screen performance by the actors. Shaad Ali (DIR OF SAATHIYA)who worked with Mani on the tamil flick totally bit from Ratnam's film, shot by shot. Vivek's character is played by Madhavan and Rani's...I'm not sure since I'm not tamil myself...but both actors are phenomenal and intense.Vivek and Rani were alright too i guess...Read More

I was just curious...what season are they airing in India? Here (states/Canada) they aired the last episode of Season 5 and Boy was it a shocker...Don't worry no spoilers here... Just look out for some awesome guest appearances by show biz's biggest names…you probably know this but Madonna was... on it in Season 5. I'm glad that people are feeling' the show ...It's one of the hottest shows of this decade probably much hotter than 'Friends' which will air its last episodes next year. It's my favorite show of all and it's nice to know that they're airing shows like this in India which brings awareness to people about homosexuality issues (even if it's thru a sitcom) and begins to tackle the homophobic problem in India…well maybe not totally but it's a start right?! Have fun watching the show!Read More

thanx for taking the time to read my stuff...I'm sorta new here...thanx for pointing out the Tom Hanks thing...I don't know why I typed Cruise when I was thinking of Hanks...N.e.wayz I was totally thinking of Enya too...but I've been more impressed with her music than her videos except for maybe 'On...ly Time'. But I've been Following her career since I was 8 and she is one of the most divinely talented females of our time..nice to see that there are ENYA lovers out there...I live in Canada and she is not too popular here as much as in the U.K and around Asia.
