How can you judge a company or product without even having a claim. merely by telephone calls and paper statements ? Meaning less reviews, for gullible fellows

As a user of 2 split ACs of Hitachi make, I do agree that Hitachi is simply horrible in service. Not only in terms of response time but also in terms of quality of service, but for very few good technicians. Infact their recent products are even substandard in terms of build quality and Indoor noise... levels inspite of DC technology etc.., as compared to makes like Samsung or Daikin which are almost similarly prices for comparable modelsRead More

There is not much one can do about humming for a new fridge as sealed compressor cannot be opened. Check for proper mounting on rubber shocks & for any wires etc near compressor

Seem to be a decent price for 345L. Have u checked with ezone & Adith-Ameerpet. I found the later gives the best rates compared to BE when I purchased Samsung split units. As I am planning to buy a new one with exchange of our old 240L Fridge, your review helps ; & make me incline towards Sa...msung. Tell me one thing. I find in LG models some section of the freezer can be set to use as normal fridge for storage- termed "Covertible". Can the freezer be set to work like a fridge comparment either partly/fully in this Samsung RT-35 model also?Read More

I am a user of Sun DTH for second TV exclusively for my mother who needs basic channels & some minimal regional fare . It is exorbitant if you wish to use for family entertainment. It is good only for Rs. 100 p.m range users, typically in rural & semi-urban pockets with the regional fare thrown in. ... Just throw the dish & buy a new one for Rs. 1750 (Stop Stop , try your raddiwala who can offer some money also, but destroy smart card)Read More

Every company claims some or the other xyz or abc unique latest technology sounding very simple & sprinkled with nice shiny crystals of marketing & technical jargon.Do not fall for all these Facts are like this: The Refrigerant will be in liquid phase post compression carrying a potential energy ...to expand at an orifice to create cooling effect, as expansion consumes heat. The cooled mixture further passes thru expander coils for maximum heat absorption to become fully gas again before reaching compressor via water or air-cooled condenser. Before expansion the liquid is buffered at nozzle for uniform rate of expansion & to avoid phase mixing resulting in lesser efficiency and chocking of conduits. And in household ACs normally nozzle size & compression ratio & rate are fixed. So there is no scope for rapid cooling except by reducing nozzle size upto a technical limit or employing more nozzles which will need more compression needs. And achieved mostly by expander designs Secondly veracity of all the claims of Rs. N000 of savings get tested by a measure called EER which is BTUs of heat lifted (divided by) no. of watts of power consumed in lifting that heat. Just see this figure of magnitude (8 to11) say 9 or 9.5 or 10.6 , which is specific to a model of AC, depending ondesign of various components & technologies employed in refrigeration cycle. As far as the review is concerned except for the makes mentioned I agree that 1 TR AC is adequate if no wall is exposed to Western Sun heat and if the room is with a thermo-coled false ceiling if located on topfloor, measures max.150-160 sft. Split ACs can have marginal better efficiency due to different fan types & speeds for expander coils & condensor for better heat dissipation. This power need can be offset by better placement of outdoor unit & also by designing usage of condenser fan only when compressor runs.So If EER & build quality is same no need to pay more for Hitachis & Daikins except for buying notional peacRead More

Every company claims some or the other xyz or abc unique latest technology sounding very simple & sprinkled with nice shiny crystals of marketing & technical jargon . Facts are like this: The Refrigerant will not be in Gas phase post compression but in a liquid phase, carrying a potenti...al energy to expand at an orifice/nozzle to create cooling effect, as expansion consumes heat. Before expansion the liquid is buffered at nozzle for uniform rate of expansion & to avoid phase mixing resulting in lesser efficiency and chocking of conduits. Using Hitachi Spilt 1.5 TR for 6 yrs. If installed properly they run well even without voltage stabilizer etc. But Hitachi is terrible on customer service front in India. The Min resp. time for complaints is 3 working days & charge a bomb for service & spares (rely on a good technician of other repu...ted brands). Their products are not at all Value for Money for retail public, except for those who use ACs almost round the yearRead More
