Just wanted to add that yes, hostel life does add a lot of new dimensions in one's life...u meet ppl who r not wht they show, u meet ppl who change colours, who back stab, who cudnt care less...in this world it is very very difficult to find true frds..especially when one grows older!
I feel that... loss of trust is a major step towards depression.Depression doesnt happen in a day...it is becos the same thing happens again n again..when u get betrayed by frds, lovers etc etc ...when u dont get what u give,..then all of this starts..
I myself have known people suffering from depression, both young and old...and indeed it is nothing but the will to come out of it that can bring the person out. There is a point after which frds,family or mediacation doesnt help at all.
Last but not the least..i think on should try not to expect anything in return from anyone...tho' it is extremely difficult.

Excellent Rev...I havent read this one ..though have read 'Fine Balance'..its on the same lines and also revolves around a Parsi family.

I really loved Lion King, Beauty n the Beast and Shrek.
But u didnt mention Ice Age...have u watched the movie? Its a lovely one..brought tears to my eyes! Its a must-see animation!

Your review summed up the things which I think a lot of MS members feel...at least I identified with it , if not others.
Ultimately, I think that it is quite easy to find out who is serious about writing honest and sincere opinions and who are just fooling around and fulfiling some other vested i...nterst.

Ya, Reeper, the camera when it was bought for me had cost Rs.1095. Presently, they have a sales promotion running and one can get it for 100 bucks less.

I am with u when u say that the movie is not a classis horror movie. it is quite ambiguous at times and unexplainable......but it did scare us a lot and we were watching in a group!
After the movie, we used to joke about dying after seven days of watching the cassette!

I also like Star News a lot...especially the newscasters...they are very polished and professional. I personally think that Prannoy Roy and Vikram Chandra are also one of the best.
Another program which is very good is Star Sundays..where they talk about everything that happened in the week.
