worked in a call centre for 3 months..bout 5 yrs back..they had just begun...the crowd was elite, the pay was beyond a grad's dreams..the training was partytime...but the work...at that point, really thought it was directionless...but i know ppl who chose to stick on and have GROWN and made a career.......and when i look back now, i realise that in my time, it was the ' in' thing but slowly call centres have proved to be a boon and an avenue for a career for ppl who cant afford nor have the skills for a, supposedly, more ' accepted' profession....as u say, a job is a job...u r putting in effort to earn ur living..thats all that matters.... really liked the systematic approach to ur review...the saying what u think and putting both sides of the spectrum across... take care, meghaRead More

I thought this movie was just too amazingly brilliant...heavy dose of reality biting quotes...terrific acting...sweet dreams romance and....INSPIRATIONAL (despite the ' Do you want this jacket? I don't need it. I'm cloaked in failure') Your review did more than justice to one of my all time f...av movies!! take care Read More

Coelho's books are very...umm..how can i put it...contextual...to your life...to your situation...or perhaps u take out from them what u want to learn at that point of time...hmmm...as u said, the association with the book and the learnings one gets from it :)!! I don't need to say that your revi...ew was brilliant...the way u just threw the excerpts from the book and ur feelings about them and let us understand what we want to... i need to pick up Zahir right now!!! btw, have u read Coelho's veronika decides to die?? would like to know ur take on that one...Read More

'You know, a heart can be broken, but it still keeps a-beatin' just the same!!' Fried green tomatoes :) i loved your quotes and your intro to every 'genre' of love songs!! made this review more into an 'ode to love' rather than just a list of songs :) My fav, btw, is Perhaps love by John Denve...r : Perhaps love is like an ocean, full of conflict full of pain... like the fire when it's cold outside.. like the thunder when it rains...... thanks for a great read Read More

Depression is like a tornado..it seeps u into it's vortex and doesn't let you come out without a fight..isliye, jo aapne nukse diye hain, unke upar amal karna shaayad thodha mushkil hoyega :)....but then whatever you have said atleast encourages the person to put up a struggle...hopefully, i am maki...ng sense!! Lots of people might say that it's easier to preach than to practice...well, that's true..but then thats where your strength of will comes in....you have not given instant solutions to snap out of depression, but your ways of trying to get your friend to look at other things beyond his misery.... and isn't that what a depressed person needs? a support system...who understands but does not wallow with you in your own self pity?.....Parts of your review were like deja vu....a depressed person doesnt need someone to hold her hand and agree and say ki you are right, u have suffered, u shld be in depression....she needs someone to look at her situation from a practical and , for want of a better word, unemotional point of view and force her to do the same.... Well, yes, i do not agree with the way you wld have handled the sister and the father problem...i wld have probably socked you :p...but I do think that instead of feeling sorry for the invisible anil , one shld concentrate on moving him out of his self pity mode.... perhaps, these are not the best things to say to a depressed person...but surely, these are what you should understand and feel to try and not let situations bog you down and feel depressed... sorry for the overly serious comment...but this is something i feel strongly about and Prem, thanks for a wonderful review on such a topic....sense and sensibility cloaked in a facade of frivolousness.... take care megha Read More

We chose the time very carefully...it had to be one of those dark dismal nights...the venue : the rarely used room at the back of the campus...shriekkkks and screams later, the boys were all smiles (it's debatable whether the girls were holding on to them or vice versa)....hehe...the ring brings bac...k one of the most beauitful (??) hostel memories...and needless to say ur review provided enough fodder for me to want to relive them.... btw prasad, i really like the way you write..no frills and fancies...just a simple interpretation of what you feel.....thanks for that .... take care, meghaRead More

fatcat : a droll and subtly wicked sense of humour, detailed and 'no nonsense' style of writing...and always, a touch of 'smiles' in both the comments and the reviews... thanks prasad for the short, snappy and sweet list of most of the MS writers and ur perception of them...it sure makes a differ...ence knowing how ur review is perceived....thanks for the mention...:)... all the best for the next century.....and hey, the journey will definitely be uninterrupted except for these constant stream of travellers wanting to communicate with u...:) take care meghaRead More
