YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !. Review on Yahoo

You can make Yahoo your Home Page in many Counties across the Globe. For example there is Yahoo UK, France, India, Pakistan and Canada.

We went to Explorer and then clicked on ''tools'' and by typing in https://ca.my.yahoo.com in the ''home page'' we made ''My Yahoo'' our Home Page. We this for two reasons. The first is my Husband uses Yahoo for his email and he does not use a Computer often and so it makes it easier for him. The second reason it is a great Web Site.

In Canada you can pick the colours of the back of the page.

SOME OF THE THEMES ARE:

1) Star Trek which is the Paramount Movie Theme.

2) The Wild Tornberrys is also a Paramount Theme and the one we are using now.

3) Snowflakes is a Theme that makes your page look icy cold and we had enough of that when we lived in Edmonton.

4) Team Yahoo is a purple and yellow page.

There are 13 Yahoo Themes, 4 Holiday Themes, 2 Movie Themes, 2 Patriotic Themes, 6 Seasonal Themes, 8 Sanrio Themes, (these are for Children), 29 National Basketball Themes and 6 Colours.

The Coloured ones are:

1) Classic has yellow columns with either blue, green or grey headlines.

2) Summertime has a white background with dark and light orange headlines.

3) Tee Off uses different shades of green.

4) Splash uses grey columns and two different colours of blue headlines.

5) Plum uses different shades of purple

6) Sahara uses yellow for the columns and a dark and light green for the headlines.

THE CONTENT:

There are 6 Yahoo Essentials, (News Headlines, Message Centre, Weather, What's New, Mail and Search).

Under Business and Fiance you can select from 8 Topics and even program in your own Stock Market Portfolio.

News is a great place for us to find out if we won the Lottery. Of course there are a lot of News items you can put on your page.

Health & Living helps with your health, your home, has recipes and diets.

If you’re a Sports fan you can add the Sports news, if you want to Travel you can look up the best fares and there are a lot of References & Tools to help you on the web.

WHAT WE HAVE ON OUR PAGE:

We have the top News Stories from Reuter’s News Service.

We like to know the temperature in Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, (in Canada), Los Angles and Palm Springs, (in the USA) and Seoul and Taegu,(in South Korea).

We have the tides and weather reports for Victoria.

We have our Horoscope and that's easy because we are both Capricorns.

We have Maps and Shopping Specials. We have Doomesbury and Garfield for a laugh each day. We also put the TV listings on our page.

WHAT WE DON'T HAVE:

We did download the Companion but it got too confusing because everyone we know is on MSN.

We decided to remove it.

WHAT I LOVE THE BEST:

Yahoo has a great Web Search and free E-Mail Cards.

I use this every day and it comes up very fast as soon as I log on to it.

I have never had to use Customer Service for help and this tells you what a great site this is.
