sorry to hear your trouble. Did the agent alter the application form you filled? Did you get 15 day look in period? I think you have a genuine case for redressal with IRDA if you can submit the case with documentary evidence.

oh yes... i too got an email (not a letter... just an email) saying my iTerm insurance contract has been changed. I cannot understand how a signed contract can be changed by one party without seeking consent from the other party. How is IRDA allowing this?

my BIL took iTerm product and he was lucky to receive good customer support. Probably because based on his age and habits, they said no medical tests are necessary. What is really scary about Aegon Religare is the level of claim rejection. If you see IRDA data, this company seems to reject a maj...ority of the claims. No other insurance company has such high rejection ration. This is very scary. @braojntu revision of premium based on medical test results is quite normal. This is part of the underwriting process. In an ideal world, companies should accept medical test results from any good center. But given the fraud and corruption prevalent in our society, i won't blame the insurance companies for not accepting reports from outside their trusted network. If the underwriter accepts this and some fraud is discovered later, he may lose his job. Having said that, they should have returned premium earlier. In the western countries, the customer service is very high and they don't encash your premium cheque (or charge the credit card even though they collect the card number) until the day coverage starts and insurance is confirmed. There is not even any need for refunds. I hope one day Indian companies also reach the service standards of western companies. Read More

Inspirations doesn't honour any snapdeal voucher. The moment they hear snapdeal voucher, their tone changes immediately and they run of any free slots for appointment. Or start suggesting other branches. I think the deal between snapdeal and Inspirations fell through. I overhead some conversations a...t Inspirations Koramangala. The lady at that outlet seemed to be saying that they are not receiving any payments from the dealer. I had a bad experience. Inspirations branches don't respect snapdeal voucher. The moment they hear snapdeal, they say go to other branch or that they dont have free slot to give appointment. so good luck.

Just to add that the delhi phone number they listed for support was useless for me. I called and waited for 10 minutes.. It kept saying ''our next available agent will help you''.
