Figo Update : 22,000Kms Highway Mileage : 22 without A/C, 20+ with A/C Engine Stalling Problem : Did faced it thrice. Get your ECU Software updated free of cost from Ford people and then you will even see improved response while driving at 20-25Kmph in third gear (though i recommend s...hifting to second gear !). So it’ll be somewhat as smooth as our cute little Micra dCi as far as low end is concerned. New Figo models already come with new software ECU. Tyre Upgrade: No unnatural behaviour detected, Ford people are not at all against my upgrade have given me full privilege of the Warranty Policy ( Brakes Change/ Steering Change). The car hugs corners like a sport ! Just make sure you are in 3/4/5th gear while taking turns above 70 Kmph . You will under steer only if you do so in neutral or while clutch pedal is pressed. Anyways even rookies know that coasting is risky and can make you loose control even while going straight. Read More

I apologise for the delay flyshals, i just read your message. You must have bought the car by now. If not then let me tell you what i have noticed about new Swift- 1. Tubro lag has been almost eliminated and now it’’s pickup is more gradual as compared to Old Swift DDiS which used to sud...denly take of after around 2200 RPM 2. Interiors have been improved but still it’’s a car with nether good boot, nor adequate legroom/under thigh support for people sitting at back ( surprising na !) 3. Less noisy on the inside, maybe you’’ll notice the difference during cold starts. 4. Maybe still comes with skinny 165 profile tyres in Vdi Figo Highlights Good/Bad 1. Rear window winder a bit oddly placed, you can knock it with knee and roll window slightly without being aware !! 2. Zxi price has been hiked and has been stripped off rear wiper which i use a lot. 3. AC is very effective even without any type of Sunfilm/Blind. You just have to roll down front windows for 1 min to let hot air escape. 4. Saluja Ford Dealer is very very cooperative and their mechanics are very talented/understanding. Always buy Ford/Hyundai from a reputed dealer. 5. Figo spare parts not at all expensive. Got 20000Km service (paid one) done and bill was 3830 Read More

What i like about Ford is that people who sell it also have the same for personal use ( Showroom owners). While i haven't ever seen a Maruti /Hyundai franchise owner sitting inside one !!

Micky 2000, i get average of around 16-17 in city with ac. As for highway, i don’t remembember / didn’t bothered to calculate. But i will let you know for sure next time i go out on a trip. Shifting to 185/70 R14 with stock rims will be the best option on a petrol. But just for precaution take advic...e of some expert mechanic from tyre shop (not the Ford guys). Good LuckRead More

Hi Sontsrp, I have already written everything in Review. Some changes i felt later.. Engine got refined after first service, very less noise/very good pickup. The car runs very cool no matter how hard you revv it in each gear (Temp does not rise 85 Degrees). The gear ratios are designed to ext...ract max out of those 69 horses, next to none turbo lag so Petrol owners can easily ride it. It provide the best view from inside as everything is clearly visible. Ac is the best and is 158cc while other cars have smaller (cheaper) unit. No need to switch off ac when going uphill with full load/full boot. Hydraulic steering does not feel numb even at speeds above 100. Can take curves/do roundabouts above 70 Kmph ( something even Verna guys are afraid of) , don’t worry about ground clearance as it’s matter of changing tyres and costs 700/Tyre. If you want to know more then please be specific. Read More

I changed the tyre size from default 175/65 R14 to 195/65 R14. Using stock rims only as they are 5.5 inch wide and can hold size ranging from 175 to 195. Handling while cornering is superb, so is sudden braking above 100. High speed stability is also not compromised, at least till 140 Km/h as I ...checked. NO GROUND CLEARANSE PROBLEM AT ALL, Even with 4 People + Fully loaded boot on bad roads! The size I am using is best for Diesel version as it’s wide enough, increases ride height and fits on stock rims without safety/stability issues. I straightaway went to tyre shop from Ford Showroom so can’t tell you the difference but all I can say is that you won’t regret tyre upgrade. If you think wide tyres will lower your mileage in Petrol version then go for 185/70 R14, available in Appolo Acclera on your stock rims. Getting 15 inch alloys may/may not put load on your suspension as they are heavy and 15 inch tyre is also slightly heavier. As for warranty, it depends more on your relation with Ford dealer/Attitude of service engineer etc than the tyre size you use. I hope this helps. Read More

@ binu736460, Who needs to go to road side mechanics these days ? Cars today don't require fixing now and then. People will not narrow down their choices for that ''just in case it requires fixing from road side mechanic'' moment which might not ever come in entire car's lifetime i guess.

@micky 2000 Warrenty void or not, it depends on the mood of your dealer when you go to claim the warrenty if ever ! Impact of upgrade on suspension or not, i am not sure. But i think nominal upgrade won't affect much. Figo does comes with alloys ( sold by Ford for Rs 16000-18000) and 195 size is... not an overkill like 205 or 215. Changing the wheels to low profile ones ( like 15 inch or 16 inch puts max load on suspension ) i just chanded the tyre width a little. But i can assure you that handling/braking/stability will improve a lot. As your car is petrol it's average will decrease with fat tyres so don't go beyond 185/67R14. You can try 185/70R14 size to eliminate ground clearance problem. I hope this helps..Read More

Fortunately you were not in the ride when this happened. This is not expected from Ford. And if you never tampered with cars electrical you are even entitled for monetary compensation apart from new replacement vehicle. Seek legal advice if need be as your case seems strong. When consumer court will... intervene then all these External Factors will become Internal! Good Luck.Read More
