with pay as you go plan tariff is 10p/10KB i.e Rs 10 per MB Looks like you got trapped into this plan. watching a one minute youtube video(480p) may cost around 200-300 rupees so never subscribe for this plan. Rs 675/- plan is best for light users(upto 3GB per month)

most bsnl employees know the art of annoying their customers. apparently they will be much worse in a state with strong worker unions(experts at starting strike). linesman with 20-30k salary ask for bribe. don't pay the bribe and you will keep on fighting with them with your complaints. people n...ot demanding bribe don't work. this is a pathetic organisation. should be sold to some non fraud billing private companies :-)Read More

somehow all new connection requests are assigned to exchange 10 miles away. luckily within the city. their systems are always under up-gradation and employees are slower than tortoise to understand upgrades.

I bought a Airtel 3G sim in Nov 2011. They had some good plans like Rs 1250 for 10GB. I have to say the speeds I got were awesome. It doesn't matter how many years you are with them. One day they(read: ISP) are going to con. There are so many billing issues with airtel and others too. These guys are corporate thugs. After realizing their mistake they are calling me now continuously so that they can transfer the connection that i cancelled to any of my friends or relatives in pune. BSNL is far better. The only way to cancel connection at BSNL is by giving a written application ...and they give a receipt for that. I believe we should never cancel any service over phone. Their should be written application and receipt should be collected. TRAI should make it mandatory.Read More

deepak, fair usage policy forces one to go to airtel. They give maximum data transfer limit. The USB dongles are flimsy and expensive(data transfer price)

Classic example of bad process followed by Airtel. Transfers, new coonections and disconnections are pain when with airtel. Even BSNL would never do this. They simply refuse to transfer :-)
