I am a user of Airtel Tele Services, for more than 5 years, and more than 2 years in Bangalore. I have Airtel Broadband connection and I was very pleased with their services and support till last few months,


until I started facing a peculiar billing issue from it. let me give you the details about it.


I have the broadband connection at Home, and I have my laptop provided by office, which has their own licensed software and tools. I don’t have any authority to use any other third party tools and software on my laptop, until and unless approved by my company. 3 months back, I was having my faulty modem replaced by service personnel from Airtel, and after that, from the next billing cycle, I started receiving Rs 100.00 charged for Airtel PC Secure. They charge it and discount the whole amount everytime, which ultimately leads to zero and there is no change in my bill value, and I remained happy. But, I thought of once calling to Customer Care, in order to ask why they are playing this amount on my bill, and first they asked - "Sir, do you use Airtel PC Secure on your PC". As I have stated earlier, that I use my office laptop, there is no chance of installing anything on it, and that’s what I replied them. So, the lady on the phone replied to my query that, as I have Rs 100.00 of PC secure service, as a free gift in my plan, and as I don’t use that. so they charge and discount that amount, which ultimately doesn’t hamper me, nor my bill value. I, anyhow was convinced with that. as it wasn’t hampering me in any monetary way.


To my utter surprise, this month, I received my bill with Rs 170.00 charged towards PC secure, and as always, Rs 100.00 has been deducted. I was almost going to miss this one, as this charge of PC secure is showing up for last couple of months, in my bill, but suddenly I caught the attention, that in fact they have additionally charged Rs 70.00 to my bill, for a service, that is close to impossible for me to use on my office laptop. I called the Customer care once, got the reply that latest Bill is not updated in their system, and to call them after 3-4 days. Called today twice, both the times, at the other end, customer care instructed to hold on the line, and disconnected from their end. I can’t understand, what is the level of care they are taking for the customers, giving false bills, make them wait on phone for minutes and finally disconnecting like they don’t care about whatever happens to you.
