Its a good office device for instant e-mail(activesync) , e-mail attachment document review, wifi connectivity and good battery life. However it does not support wifi-g standard and EDGE. With 3G far away, may be 2008 end, EDGE would have helped in speeding up internet access/e-mail download etc...Read more

You have really done a good job. On Mileage you can expect 14km/Lt which I am geting with full AC on (ZXi) since 1st service(Sept'05).

You have really summed up nearly all aspects of ZXi. I bought it in July last year a week before mumbai torrential rains and drove almost 15Km on the waterlogged mumbai roads at snails pace but this beauty withstood that all. Only the carpet got wet which was promptly attended by Spectra. I drive ne...arly 45-50 Km daily in evening rush hour and regularly get 14Km/Lt average. About ABS(+EBD+BA); it helps even otherwise when you brake suddenly from high speed, the car never wobbles but remains rock steady. I have experienced this on few occasions. On airbags, yes there are restrictions when they inflates but its better to have them then not to. Look at it like life insurance; you never get to enjoy it.Read More

I don't believe that it's a problem with SWIFT model. I have driven it for more than 5000km and also in Mumbai rain, including 26/7 but the car has responded with out any hitch. All electrical/electronics/mechanical components are functioning as expected. Your may be an isolated case, take it up wit...h Maruti at their website marutiswift.com.Read More

I am bit confused, which model u have? price indicates LXI while u talk about Automatic climate control, tubeless radial tyres etc. Also LXI/VXI does not come with Climate control AC even as an option as mentioned in your review. Any way its a great car.

The comments on dealer can be categorized in different section. This section is to share your actual driving experience(product feel) . What ever you have written about product is all hearsay. My experience about Swift and Spectra has been very different. I had booked my car(ZXi) in may'05 and got d...elivery in july-16. The dealer has been very cooperative ever since in all matters including MGA fitments. Now about car, lot has been said about ‘esteem’ engine, before launch and afterwards. Please read comments by experts in any auto-mag or their websites. Read More

Why crib about engine being old as long as it delivers what is expected and trouble free. GETZ is using reworked Accent engine while Honda-CITY has been living with 'old' engine since launch. Now they have introduced VTEC which was available in international market for years. No one is complaining a...bout this.. Why beat around in bush .....! Read More

One should write review only after actually driving the car(may be test drive!) and not by just looking at it, visual impact. Not all have liked shape of this car, but that's individual choice. GETZ is equally good car and may be more comfortable but feature to feature Swift is far better. About Swi...ft's features, my friend; just name any one car from 'B+' or 'C' segment which has climate-control AC+BA+ABS+EBD; hard to find or none exits !! Still few have rated this review as 'Great', good luck to them.Read More

I have been driving Swift Zxi since July. During rains and on bad Mumbai roads I got FE of 11 with AC on and daily run of above 45Km. Now as the road condition has improved a little I am getting 12.5 with AC on for same run. Yet to take it for long drive, but I am sure to get lot better FE. Those ...who complaint about FE should take a look at their driving habits. After using bike+car for more than 15 years; I still find need for improvement and try to iron out few old habits. The trainers in driving school have very little knowledge about GOOD driving habits and they themselves do not observe any road manners. Zxi Good(Great!) car except suspensions which should have been bit soft. I agree with our friend Sharath on Swift features which are hard to find(missing!) in premium model of many 'C' segment cars; recently launched Honda City is an example. Read More

Yes these ratings are for European swift and may not be final word; in our country we still do not have any rating system. This article was just to educate readers and make them aware of superior features of this wonderful car and where it can stand in comparison with others. Thanks

As rightly said by our friend Amit Borkar, Enjoy your new car. Spectra Motors have always kept their promise, I also got my Zxi delivered on time. It has been thru' 26/7 rains , traveled from Vile Parle to Goregaon in that torrential rains, knee deep water. My car has stood the test of time and has ...been in good shape. Only the carpet got wet and had to be removed & dried. All the safety features supported me in that 6-7 hours travel. Great job maruti. Read More

Dear friend , I agree that it has been copied from BS Motoring web site. In my last two reviews about SRS airbag & ABS+EBD, I had mentioned source. Here it just got skipped. What matters is how may of us are aware of this information? Objective is to make this info available to as many 'swifties' ...as possible. Anyway Thanks. Read More

What's the No. 1 thing that a driver is likely to do when there's a problem on the road ahead? Step on the brakes, of course. But braking a car safely isn't as easy as it may seem. Sudden, panic stops can lead to skidding and loss of steering control. ABS : The addition of electronics to a...Read more

One sparrow does not make a spring... There are bound to be few errant dealers in this vast network. It was unfortunate that you had to suffer. But that does conclude that all are same. We are talking about JD Powers rating. This is still an evolving market. It took too long for all developed nation...s to reach this point. India is galloping at fast speed and should catch up very soon. I have also booked my car in May, but why pay full amount before delivery? I will be getting delivery next week(confirmed) and the loan process will start in day or two. As about communication with Maruti, I have been sending them mail on delivery and response has been satisfying. Even the local Maruti executive responded very well and updated me as and when there was a change. The dealer has been very co-operative from day-one. I have visited showroom couple of times( with family and friends) and was greeted appropriately. Read More

I have a very pleasant experience of maruti dealer Spectra Motors-Mumbai; they are constantly in touch to update me about delivery status. One should road-test the car before commenting on it. It is said that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' . One has to average out the pros-&-cons.

I am not frustrated but the initial excitement is going away. I am still going to wait for ZXi, it has more safety features then GETZ. But old car is due for major overhaul and I do not wish to spend so much now. 05.07.2005-11am; no more waiting, arriving in a weeks time, confirmed by dealer & ma...ruti.Read More

I am also facing same problem, booked in May before launch. The dealer is 'quit' co-operative and is in constant touch. Wrote to Maruti( e-mail & Calls), the answers -the plant was down for a week for regular maintenance, revised schedule is on way, we will get back to you soon etc. New schedule is ...expected by 4th July??? I was to purchase some other car 3/4 months back but just waited for this beauty, fully loaded ZXi.Read More
